The Control Point Router is networked using BACnet MS/TP. The CP-R can be installed inside a cabinet which allows the RJ45 connectors into the horizontal BACnet and the vertical ethernet. The cabinet has also two GPO for the router and a service power point - if required. CP-RZ (Control Point Router ZigBee PRO) The ZigBee Control Point has all functionality of the CP-R Control Point Router including a ZigBee PRO gateway. EZ ZigBee PRO Repeater The EZ Repeater extends an EZ network or brings wireless devices into an EB network. It allows integration with EB controllers, or connects to a standard USB power supply to operate as a standalone repeater. Ethernet network The vertical backbone is running off un-managed Ethernet network switches which are located inside the BACnet router cabinet on designated floors. Analog brightness sensor The brightness sensor is adapted to the sensitivity of the human eye. The measuring values are transmitted as analogue signals with a proportional voltage range of 0-10 VDC. The sensor achieves an almost direction-independent sensibility range of 0-90 in elevation and 0-360 in azimuth. Analog wind sensor The wind sensor collects the speed and wind direction from the mounting point of the sensor s position. The measuring values are transmitted as analogue signals with a proportional voltage range of 0-10 VDC. Weather Station (hardwired or ZigBee - digital) The Digital Sensor Kit is a low cost combination sensor which senses light and wind conditions at the installed location. Thresholds for respective light and wind levels can be set, as well as a delay time to return to auto operation. The values are represented by a digital value (not real physical value) which can be programmed by the user. If the light levels exceed the pre-set value, the shades are in Auto Mode, below the value the shades are retracted. If the wind threshold is exceeded the shades retract and are set back to auto once the wind has calmed down. No dynamic wind or brightness response profile can be used in conjunction with this sensor type. Building automation system integration The motor controller will automatically operate the actuator system in response to the use of devices such as audio visual, air conditioning, lighting and security. BMS (Building Management System) and audio visual system integration The motor controller Low-Level BMS Integration such as air conditioning, audio visual and other sub-system integrations require dry-contact connection to the motorised system receiving and sending signals which can be individually programmed to suit the required needs. Alternately to lower costs, this interface can be realised by using the Standard Serial Interface RS 232 to connect with automation systems such as C-BUS (command exchange using ASCII codes). Horiso Smart Switch Is a wireless 7-channel momentary push button switch, flush mounted or surface mounted version. It provides access for an individual user to override the motor operation. Bluetooth Adaptor Is an adaptor to enable direct connection with other compatible Bluetooth devices such as iphones, ipads etc for the operation of shading products, known as via Smart Remote Control. Basic application server This control server is based on a standard desktop medium performance server. The system platform is Microsoft Windows 7 Professional and Sun Java for the shading application. The system includes a single TeamViewer remote access license for remote servicing and access to the BM Control Panel. All control server software products are HTML based and can be accessed from any external PC, (iphone, ipad, tablet, smart phone etc) which is running an internet browser and has access to internet. Advanced application server This control server is based on a super Micro i7 industrial standard server which can be rack mounted into a standard 19 server rack. The system platform is Microsoft Windows 7 Professional and Sun Java for the control application. The system includes a TeamViewer remote access license for remote servicing and access to the BM Control Panel. All control server software products are HTML based and can be accessed from any external PC or device (tablet, smart phone, etc) which is running an internet browser and has access to the internet. Individual facade element banks on different levels / angles will respond appropriately to differing wind pressure. ST[a]ATS ST[a]ATS (solar tracking automatic tilt synchronisation). This response is a highly precise adjustment to the shading system and is dependent upon the input from the solar path calculus, including Facade Intelligence Modelling options (FIM) and ECO-Mode. Horiso Smart Shading Server - residential Is a single user wireless control application that can be installed onto every control point installation, CP, CP-R and CP-Z and permits a direct connection to a WiFi modem network (if existing), or a standard Ethernet WiFi switch. It provides remote access to operate facade element/s via hand held devices such as ipads, iphones, and other smart phones and tablets. ECO-Mode Eco-Mode enables the facade element/s to preserve the inside temperature of the building by extending the facade element/s over night and utilising solar radiation as an energy source during the day (winter mode). Eco-Mode will: Integrate outside temperatures. Restrict manual override if air conditioning is in cooling mode. Facade element/s close or open if temperature is below set point. Facade element/s retract to harvest solar energy if air conditioning is in heating mode. This mode is triggered by an external temperature sensor (optional), a schedule, or by communication with the air conditioning system. BACnet The internationally acknowledged BACnet is a communications protocol for building automation and control networks. It provides access to information from devices such as air conditioning, lighting and security. BM Control Panel (Building Manager) The BM Control Panel software is installed on the local server for the building manager to operate all facade elements in the building. The BM Control Panel software allows access to information such as facade element status, facade element admin override, various scheduling functions, alert email and data logging. All functions are accessed on the Administration Level. FM Control Panel (Facility Manager) The FM control panel software is an additional licence installed on the local server for the building s tenant/s. It enables the operation or override access to facade element/s on tenancy level or per floor. All functions are accessed on User Levels. GUI (Graphic User Interface) The GUI is a standalone application which runs on the Advanced Control Server platform and offers the same basic functionality as the BM Control Panel. Major difference is that the control access diagram is shown as a reflected floor plan with motor / facade element relative to the building structure. FIM (Facade Intelligence Modeling) FIM modules are based on 3D modeling of a building s surroundings including adjoining building location, distance and height into consideration. The model is stored in the memory of the related controller and provides calculation input in conjunction with the Solar Path Calculus for the facade element/s adjustment. The FIM modules cater for over-shadowing, indirect (or reflected) glare and internal glare zones (within the floor space). Summary of terms
