Thespeakerswerecarefullyselectedfortheirabilitiestocommunicatetheirworkand passiontotheaudience,andtheymadeastrongimpactontheparticipants.ingeneral, thestudentsexpressedsurpriseatthequalityandexpertiseofthespeakers;they generallyfeltthattheywereexposedtoawidevarietyofbrilliantideas,manyfinding theideastobedirectlyrelevanttoandusefulfortheirownphdresearch.a questionnairewascirculatedtotheparticipants.18participantsresponded,andtheir detailedcommentscanbefoundinthesecondattachment.thusthisgoalwasachieved, Page9/10

Anumberofinternationalstudents neededspecialvisapermissiontovisitfrance,whichaddedtotheirexpensesand preparationtime.but,overall,mostwerepleasedwiththesummerschoolvenuein Paris.So,thisaspectofthesummerschoolalsofulfilledtheintendedobjective.
