9 The Financial Market Place There are few financial products available to help those over 55 - the IFA sources the best solution. Equity release means, to the majority of lenders, interest roll up only. Few lenders are interested in lending small sums, prefer to start at 35k. Even fewer lenders are interested in offering Lifetime for small sums. HIT offers start at 5k - lifetime.
