Welcome to VidyoWeb Version 1.1.0 (16) VidyoWeb makes it easy for guest participants to join conferences from within a web browser on desktop and laptop computers. What s New in this Release Adds support for Google Chrome 64-bit for Mac OS X. Welcome to VidyoWeb Version 1.1.0 (16) Page 2

Compatibility To determine which version of the VidyoPortal your VidyoWeb version is compatible with, click Compatibility Matrix, log in to your account on the Vidyo Support Center, and refer to the Software Compatibility Matrix. The following table defines the compatibility between VidyoWeb, OS platforms, and browsers. VidyoWeb Compatible Platforms Compatible Browsers 1.1.0 (16) Windows XP SP3 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 8 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 8.1 32-bit and 64-bit Mac OS 10.6 10.10.1 Chrome Versions 38 and 39 Firefox Version 30 and 31 Internet Explorer 8 (Windows XP SP3) Internet Explorer 9 32-bit (Windows 7) Internet Explorer 10 (Windows 7 and Windows 8) Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 7 and Windows 8.1) Safari 5.1.10 (Mac OSX 10.6.8) Safari 6.1 (Mac OSX 10.6.8, 10.7.5, 10.8.5) Safari 7.0.6 (Mac OSX 10.9.4) Notes: VidyoWeb may run successfully in environments other than those listed in the table above; however, only these environments have been tested and are supported by Vidyo. Vidyo has tested VidyoWeb using the out-of-box settings. Issues may occur when using different browsers and security settings. Compatibility Page 3

Resolved issues in VidyoWeb version 1.1.0 (16) include the following: VidyoWeb now supports Chrome 64-bit (Chrome 39) for Mac. Resolved Issues VidyoWeb will now display an OS incompatibility message only when the current OS version is earlier than the minimum OS version that VidyoWeb supports; it will not display a message when the OS version is a later version than the last OS version VidyoWeb was tested against. Resolved Issues Page 4

Known issues and limitations in VidyoWeb version 1.1.0 (16) include the following: Known Issues and Limitations Sharing issues: If a call participant is using Chrome 39 64-bit with Mac OS X on a system with one display, and that participant tries to share their screen, the screen cannot be shared. If a call participant is using Chrome 39 64-bit with Mac OS X on a system with two displays, and that participant tries to share their second screen, VidyoWeb crashes. When sharing a document, the shared content may not appear correctly on the receiving side. This may occur when covering the shared window by another window, when the shared content is not in focus while using two monitors, when minimizing the shared window, and when moving VidyoWeb to full screen mode. In rare cases, the sharing might stop when minimizing the shared window. Sharing Windows applications may result in flickering on both the sending and receiving sides. On Windows 7 or 8 64-bit, if a user attempts to share a document or application when using IE 10 with Enhanced Protected mode set to On, the entire desktop gets shared. When using IE with Enhanced Protected Mode is set to On, any shared application will be grayed out when the shared item is in the background. If you share the browser on which VidyoWeb is running, the application starts blinking. If you have more than two displays connected, you cannot share entire desktops. Browser-related issues: Various issues may occur when using VidyoWeb with certain browser and operating system combinations, such as the following: When using Internet Explorer (IE) 9 and IE 10, the ESC key does not allow the user to get out of full screen mode. On Windows 7 or 8 64-bit, the VidyoWeb plug-in might not get detected by IE 10 with Enhanced Protected mode set to On. IE might become unresponsive after closing the VidyoWeb tab. When a browser is running in Metro mode on Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, the VidyoWeb plug-in might not get detected. When using Google Chrome version 32 and later, the VidyoWeb plug-in must be enabled on the first use. In some cases when using a Mac, VidyoWeb crashes when switching audio devices while in a conference. Drop-down styling on Firefox version 30 and later is broken as Firefox changed their support for custom drop-down styling. VidyoWeb does not support IE browsers that are running in Admin mode. Known Issues and Limitations Page 5

Various video device selection. These issues include the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920, Logitech BCC950 ConferenceCam, and Microsoft LifeCam NX-6000 not getting automatically selected in some cases. When using VidyoWeb, do not reload the browser tab while on a call, do not disconnect USB peripheral devices during calls, and do not run several instances of VidyoWeb on the same machine. These are unsupported use cases. High CPU utilization may occur when joining a conference call on a Mac. In some cases, no video appears after joining a call until the user resizes the browser window. Participant name label issues: When using a Mac, the name labels of the participants are pixelated, too small, and cannot be read. In some cases, the name labels of the participants do not appear. In some cases, the Web Proxy and VidyoProxy dialog box does not pop up automatically when needed. To force the dialog box to appear, the user must add the parameter /web/?portalurl &roomkey= &proxy=1 to the guest link URL before joining the call. Logs: To access the logs, refer to these locations: Application logs About > Show logs VidyoWeb plug-in logs on Windows C:\Users\'user'\AppData\Local\Vidyo\Data\User VidyoWeb plug-in logs on Mac ~/Library/Logs/VidyoWeb VidyoWeb supports four different levels for application logs: Log, Info, Warn, and Error. Log includes dumps of all requests (which make up most of the logs currently) and details of UI actions such as checkbox xyz was unchecked. Info has the general flow of the application, such as proxy required, presenting dialog, as well as some basic information such as the application version and the user s browser. This is the default, out-of-the-box setting. Warn is used for warnings or minor errors, such as error 500 while logging in or using unsupported OS. Error is used for major errors, such as failing to start the plug-in. The log level can be passed both to the query string and the hash parameters: /web/?portalurl=...&roomkey=.../#/login?loglevel=info /web/?portalurl=...&roomkey=...&loglevel=info/#/login Known Issues and Limitations Page 6
