Should the code be printed on the B/L, it has to be submitted additionally in the goods description or in the remarks. Current HS Code (Harmonized System) is published at http://www.bill-of-lading.de. The transmission of the HS codes becomes mandatory as of 01.01.2011, the current practice (the sender specifies if the HS codes are to be validated or not) will no longer be required. Submitting the HS-Code will be mandatory related to the sender of the B/L. For activating the checking, please contact the DAKSY-Support. It is recommended to limit the submitted HS -codes to a single one, as a lot of receiving systems only receive one.
