DELSIA DOCUMENTS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USER GUIDE AND GUIDANCE FOR SUMITTING INVESTMENT PROPOSALS The goal of this document is to help new users navigate the DELSIA Documents Management System. 1. Registering with DELSIA Users who registered prior to 2/24/2015 in the Autism Speaks Science Grants System may use their login credentials from that site to enter the DELSIA Documents Management System. New users should simply enter an email address and then select Register with DELSIA. Enter and reenter a password to arrive at the Profile page. Users who have forgotten their credentials may enter their email address and then select Forgot Password to receive a temporary login password. To reset a password, enter an email address, click the Reset Password link and follow the prompts. Using Forgot Password can result in the new password going to SPAM. Please be sure to check that folder if you do not receive a timely response.
2. Profile Page The DELSIA Profile page is your dashboard. From here, you can navigate to all sections of the DELSIA system (e.g., submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), Full Application or supporting materials). You must enter the required identifying information about yourself and your company (detailed below). Complete as many Contact Information fields as possible; phone number and email address are required. Company Website and LinkedIn profile are optional.
DELSIA requires a company name and complete business address. Enter a Company/Organization name. The DELSIA System has many organizations within its database. Simply begin typing the name and the System will provide a list of suggestions, as seen above. If the organization does not appear, simply select Request to add this institution to our database. The DELSIA staff will review this addition to the database and either approve it or reach out to the user for more information.
3. Submitting an EOI At the top of the Profile page is a blue navigation bar: select Applications to begin an EOI. Choose an Award Type and then Start new Expression of Interest for DELSIA 2015. (Incomplete EOIs will be listed on this page and can be selected to view or complete. Incomplete EOI s won t be accepted; prompts will alert you to incomplete fields.) All EOIs and Full Applications have two web pages to capture essential information. 1. The Basic Info page is common to EOIs and Full Applications. Some fields will be editable only when a target is invited to submit a Full Application. a. Product Name maximum of 100 characters b. Product Concept -Brief description of product or product concept c. Impact - Brief description of how the product will impact outcomes for someone with autism d. Funding Scale - Scale of Funding Being Requested e. Product Category choose 1
i. Therapeutic Technology ii. Assistive Technology iii. Diagnostic Technology iv. Enabling Technology v. Employment or Services vi. Other f. Development Stage choose 1 i. Seed / Product Concept ii. Start-up iii. Early Development iv. Late Development v. Marketed Product vi. Other 2. The Expression of Interest page contains a text box for the Executive Summary. It must include a clear description of: a. The product b. The value proposition as it relates to the autism community c. The critical product development activities d. Why and how much DELSIA funding is needed. Please note that text boxes do not retain formatting except for line breaks. Once an EOI is submitted, the user can navigate back to the applications page to view their submission. A PDF of the EOI can be generated by clicking the [PDF] link.
4. Application Submission If you received an invitation to submit a Full Application: then navigate to the Applications page to start or access your draft. After selecting the Access draft application link, users are taken back to the Basic Info page where they can accept or edit their data. Navigate to the Application page; it contains essential instructions and upload slots for required components of the Full Application.
