1 Frequently Asked Recruiting Questions & Answers Applying For a Job How do I know what positions are open at Glenmede? Visit the Careers page of for a listing of the employment opportunities currently available. You may view all open positions or apply criteria to search for specific openings. How do I apply for a job opening at Glenmede? Materials must be submitted electronically online. Select the desired position from the Job Listings page on Glenmede s Website by clicking its title. Read the job description and then click the Apply for this job online link at the bottom of the page to start the application process. New candidates will be prompted to create a profile. Returning candidates should login to the Career Center by entering their login and password. Please complete the required fields and upload your résumé and cover letter as one document, with your résumé first. Do I need to create a profile to apply for a job? Yes, you must create an online profile to apply for a job at Glenmede. Do I need to create a profile every time I apply for an opening? No, you only need to create a profile once the first time you apply for a position. After that, you can apply for additional jobs, using the profile you already created. You may also update or modify your profile at any time. How do I update my personal information/modify my profile? Once you are logged in, you will see a link allowing you to edit your personal information, including your résumé and cover letter. Can I apply for more than one position at a time? Yes, you can apply for more than one position at a time. To do so, you must apply to each position separately. Why have I received a message indicating I ve applied to Glenmede before and have a login and password on file? If you have applied to Glenmede since 2012, your contact information, including e- mail, may already be on file and in our new system. Click on the Reset Password link next to the Forgot your login name or password? message located on the bottom of Job Application page. You will receive an within 5 minutes with a link, allowing you to reset your password. Please be sure to review your profile information for updates.
2 I ve lost my password, how do I retrieve it? Click on the Reset Password link next to the Forgot your login name or password? message located on the bottom of the page. You will receive an within 5 minutes with a link, allowing you to reset your password. If you are no longer using your registered address, please helpdesk@icims.com for assistance. I received an error message while applying online. What do I do now? Please read the error message and follow the instructions on the page. If you cannot proceed further, helpdesk@icims.com for assistance. Be sure to include as much information as possible regarding this error message. (For example: Send step-by-step details of what you were doing when you received the error, screenshots of the error message, etc.) What if I don t have an address? An address is required to apply for a position at Glenmede. What is the deadline for submitting my materials? We do not impose application deadlines for our postings. We encourage those interested in opportunities at Glenmede to submit their materials as soon as possible after learning of the opening. The job description for the position I m interested in was posted several weeks/months ago. Is the position still open? If a position is listed on our Website, we are still accepting applications. E-Alerts Is it possible to be notified when jobs become open at Glenmede? Yes, to do so, you can create an e-alert. What is an E-Alert? An e-alert notifies you via each time a new opening meeting your criteria has been posted to Glenmede s Career Center. How do I setup an E-Alert? If you are interested in establishing an e-alert, you should specify your criteria in the job search options located under the Job Listings of the Career Center and follow the instructions there. Please specify (at minimum) a keyword, department or location of interest as your search criteria. You are only required to select one of these options, but you may also select a combination as your search agent criteria. Click Search. The next page will display your search results. You now have the option to save your search and give it a title. Enter a name for the search and click Create E-Alert. How do I change or manage an E-Alert that I ve already established? To manage a pre-existing e-alert, simply login to the Career Center and click Manage My E-Alerts. This option also appears under your search results after you ve specified a keyword, location, department or job type.
3 Status of Submitted Documents How do I know if you ve received my résumé and cover letter? Once you submit your materials via our online Career Center you will receive an automatic message confirming the receipt of your information. I ve submitted my materials online via your Career Center and I haven t received a confirmation . What do I do now? If you haven t received a confirmation and you ve applied online via our Career Center, please check your spam folder. You can also login to your profile and view your submittal history. I have submitted my résumé and cover letter online. Can I mail or fax it to ensure you received it? If you received our automatic message, you can be assured we have received your materials. Only online materials will be considered. I no longer want to be considered for a job for which I ve submitted my materials. How can I withdraw? Login to the Career Center and click on View Your Submittals. From there, you have an option to withdraw your application for specific jobs. Recruitment Process How long will it take before I can expect to hear from you? Applicants will receive an automatic message once materials are submitted via our online Career Center. If you are selected for further consideration, the exact timing of our follow-up will depend on the volume of applications received. How can I track where are you in the interview process? This will vary by search and date. You will be contacted by a Glenmede staff member with more details on the recruitment process if your background appears to be a match for an opening. Positions listed in the Career Center are currently open. You can also login to your profile at any time to view your submittal history and status. If I live out of state, will I still be interviewed? We generally recruit candidates in the local job market. Depending on the position, we may consider candidates from outside the local market. If my background is considered a match, what will happen next? Next steps could include phone conversations and/or in-person interviews. Do you require references? If so, how many? References are not required with your initial submission. As candidates progress through the recruitment process, references will be required. All offers are conditioned on completion of background and reference checks.
4 Do you require writing or work samples? If so, how many and what kind? Please do not include writing or work samples with your résumé and cover letter. If you move forward in the recruitment process, such samples may be requested at a subsequent stage. I applied for a position. Why wasn t I called in for an interview? Our searches are usually quite competitive. We carefully screen the materials we receive and select the candidates who most closely meet our requirements for interviews. Will I be notified once the position is filled? It is not our practice to notify candidates when positions are filled. We make every effort to notify candidates of their status in our interview process. Candidates may check the status of a position by logging into the Career Center. Job postings will be removed from our Website once closed. You can also login to your profile at any time to view your submittal history and status. If I am not the successful candidate for a position, will Glenmede keep my materials on file? Yes, we keep applicant materials on file, but you must reapply to be considered for a new position. When can I reapply? You may apply for another position with Glenmede at any time. I was interviewed, but was not the successful candidate. Could you provide feedback on my interview? Glenmede s selection process reviews each candidate s background and experience against the requirements for the position for which he/she has applied. Additional consideration is given to the relative strength of each candidate s application when compared to others that have applied. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to provide additional details to each candidate who applies and/or is interviewed by the firm. General Questions How can I refer a friend or relative to a position at Glenmede? You may use the Career Center to refer your acquaintance to a specific position. Search and identify the position, click the job title to view the job description, and then click the Refer a Friend link at the bottom of the page. Enter the name and address of the person being referred and any comments you would like sent along with the message to your referral. Click Submit Referral. A confirmation message will be displayed once complete. Where is a particular position located? Our positions can be located in any of our six offices, although the large majority of our
5 openings are located in our Philadelphia, PA headquarters. Job Listings identify the specific location. What is the salary range for the position I m interested in? We do not post salary ranges for our positions. Glenmede offers compensation programs that are competitive in the market and provides comprehensive benefits. I would like to work in a certain department, but currently it does not have any openings. May I send in my materials for you to keep on file? We encourage people interested in Glenmede to apply for specific openings rather than sending general inquiries. We recommend you create an e-alert so that you will be notified as new positions are posted. You must apply for a specific position to be considered. May I speak with someone to learn more about employment at Glenmede? We make every effort to ensure the job descriptions posted in the Career Center of are as clear and comprehensive as possible. Based on the needs of the business, Glenmede will occasionally hire temporary employees. Glenmede does offer summer internship opportunities, which are posted in the Job Listings. Our recruitment process for summer interns typically begins each Fall and concludes by May of each year.
