2 Welcome to the Thera Band Academy International Speakers Database. We re pleased to have you on our faculty. The Thera Band Academy provides an on line database for speakers presenting workshops using Thera Band and Biofreeze products around the world. The database allows speakers to post their biographical information and professional workshops in a searchable database. Health and exercise professionals around the world can search for courses specific to their interests and location. This manual will help you get started by updating your profile and entering your workshop information. There are 5 easy steps to follow. Step 1: Login and Update your Academy Profile 1. Login at bandacademy.com with your and password. If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password link to send via . Update your Academy Profile here first and be sure you are opted in for the choices below and click the Register button 2

3 2. Once logged into the Academy, you will notice the left navigation box and top navigation bars change color to represent the Speaker Level. Speaker levels are based on training and experience, and set by the Academy. Level Color Designation Requirements 1 Tan Consumer Not currently a healthcare provider or student (patient, etc) 2 Yellow Student Professional Student in healthcare or sports/ exercise field 3 Red Professional Healthcare provider or sports / exercise professional 4 Green Instructor Completion of Academy Train the Trainer course 5 Blue 6 Black 7 Silver Certified Instructor Intermediate Instructor Advanced Instructor 8 Gold Master Trainer Presented at least 1 Academy workshop 1 year experience as a certified instructor plus 3 workshops per year 3 years experience plus 5 workshops per year 5 years experience plus 5 workshops per year. Requires approval of other Master Trainers Step 2: Enter the Speaker Only Site and complete agreement 3

4 1. After entering the Speaker Only Site, the Educational Affiliate Agreement will appear. Read through the agreement and print a copy for your records. Push the I Accept button at the bottom if you agree to the terms. The agreement lasts for 3 years, and you will be prompted on the website when it s time to renew. Download a PDF version of the agreement to print here This is your Speaker Home Page. This page will contain important information, including downloads for presentations. This is your Academy contact information if you have any questions You can always view and print your agreement, and view the expiration date. You can view a short video tutorial on using the speaker database here. Always check your home page for important information and updates! 4

5 Step 3: Create your Biography 1. You are now logged into both the Speaker Only Site as well as the Academy website. Start by creating your biography. Click on My Biography on the left navigation. Your biography information will be posted on the public database of faculty. This must be completed before adding courses. Mouse over the green [?] for help in completing that section You may upload a.jpg image of yourself less than 20 KB size. Be sure and SAVE your information 2. View your public information at bandacademy.com/education/faculty.asp. Search for your information using the dropdown box for your country. You only have to create your speaker profile one time, and can modify it at any time. Once you have accepted the agreement and updated your profile & biography, you do not have to do it again. In order to add courses, simply login to the Speaker Only Site and begin adding courses (Step 4). 5

6 Step 4: Create New Course Listing 1. Click on Create New Course on left navigation to add a new course. Complete all relevant information. Fields with an asterisk are required. Use the green [?] help buttons if needed. Indicate if you would like to have the course information posted on the public website. If available, provide a website and/or address where someone can find registration or more information on the course Estimate the number of participants Indicate any products you are demonstrating here If allowed, you may request product samples for your workshop. Enter the shipping address for your products in the box below (No PO Boxes). Requests must be made AT LEAST 3 WEEKS before the course. 2. Click on the Save button at the bottom to add to your course listing. An will automatically be sent to the Academy for course approval. 3. Click on My Course List to check the status of your workshops and samples. 6

7 Step 5: View/Modify Course Listing & Status 1. You can view your course listing and course approval status by clicking on My Course List on the left navigation. Check the status of your course posting here Update course information here* Search for courses by title or date Use this to duplicate a course listing to create a new date or location for the same course. *IMPORTANT: Courses cannot be edited once they are approved by The Academy. You must use the Contact Us link on the left navigation to modify course information once the course status changes from new. 2. Check your course listings periodically to be sure they are progressing in status, especially if you have requested product samples. 3. View your course listing by searching the drop down boxes at 4. Don t forget to log out of the Speaker Only Site on the left navigation when you are finished! Use the Contact Us link on the left navigation if you have any questions or difficulties 7
