Information sheet for exchange students Dear student, Here s some information about the apartments Stubor can offer exchange students. First of all, it is International Relations Office at Linnaeus University who decides who is going to stay where. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact them at inexchange@lnu.se. When they have decided the placements, we get that information from them and we send out Tenancy agreement to those who will be staying with us at Stubor. We have three different types of living arrangements for exchange students at Stubor; 1. Single living in a 1-room apartment you live by yourself in an apartment on 22m 2. We have 115 of these apartments. 2. Shared living in a 1-room apartment you share the apartment on 22m 2 with another student. We have 40 of these apartments. 3. Shared living in a 2-bedroom apartment you share the apartment on 38 m 2 with another student. We have three of these apartments. All our apartments look pretty much alike. They can be laterally reversed though and the furnishing can differ a bit. The kitchen area in the apartments contains a freezer, a fridge, a stove, kitchen cabinets, sink, fan and drawers. In the cabinets you will find at least two pieces of knives, forks, spoons, glasses, cups and plates. There will also be a frying pan and a saucepan. The bed is 200cm long and either 80 or 90cm wide and there s a mattress on top of the bed. When it comes to furniture there s a table and at least two chairs in the apartment. Window curtain, shower curtain and lamps are also included. For cleaning you will find a broom, a floor mop and a bucket in the apartment. Household insurance - The tenant is responsible for signing his/her own household comprehensive insurance. We strongly recommend you to sign insurance! The student union at Linnaeus University might be able to recommend you an Insurance company. Please visit them at http://linnestudenterna.se/in-english/home-insurance-vaxjo/. Bed set - You can buy a bed set from us for SEK500 that includes: Blanket, pillow, sheet, bed linen, bath towel, and hand towel. The bed set will be placed in your apartment before your arrival. Don t forget to mark underneath your signature on the tenancy agreement if you wish to buy one. The cost will be added to the rent and has to be paid before January 18, 2013. Please note that it is not mandatory to buy one. Stubor s caretakers will help you with general service such as changing light bulbs, clogged drains and other things that might occur in an apartment. All you have to do is to send them an e-mail to service@stubor.se with your name, apartment no. and an explanation to what the problem is, and then they will help you. This is included in the rent.
Stubor has seven buildings, all located on Campus. It takes approximately five minutes to walk to the main building of Linnaeus University. Stubor s residential area is located next to a forest where there are lakes and paths and are nice for recreation. Our tenants have access to laundry rooms, a sauna and a gym for free. We offer our tenants a solarium in one of our buildings and we also have a vending machine with cold beverages and candy and a coffee machine.
