YSU Secure Wireless Connect Guide (Part 2) Connecting to Cisco Clean Access Cisco Clean Access is a network logon system implemented in 2005 by YSU Network Services. The purpose of Clean Access is to provide a safe and secure experience for you and your PC while using services on the YSU network and on the Internet. Clean Access works through scanning your Windowsbased PC for potential computer security vulnerabilities. Potential security vulnerabilities such as missing Windows Critical Updates, lack of anti-virus software, or old anti-virus definition files will have to be resolved before using the YSU network. To begin using the YSU network, you must install the Clean Access Agent, which will be available for download after the initial connection to the YSU network has been established. The Clean Access Agent will assist you through a series of processes in order to insure that your computer is protected and ready for the Internet; this process is called remediation. The Clean Access Agent is required to use the YSU network. Leaving the agent installed on your PC will not affect other connections to Internet providers at home and through businesses. The agent simply sits inactive on your PC until you connect to a Clean Access-compatible network. Also, the agent may be uninstalled at any time. If you have uninstalled the agent, you will be prompted to reinstall again when reconnecting to the YSU network. Step 1: Open your favorite web browser Internet Explorer Mozilla Firefox Netscape 7 Step 2: Logging in to download the Clean Access Agent.
