This promise will underpin all aspects of the business, in particular the relevant customer touch points to ensure that all supporters receive the service levels and attention they deserve. Cardiff City Football Club is committed to continually improving the fan experience and our relationship with supporters and South Wales as a whole. This commitment to our supporters and the aim to wider community will harness the power of football to deliver key social and educational messages across South Wales. For all of our Supporters I ll Be There

I'll Be There in the 4 Local Community As a football club we understand the important ties which we have with our local community. This commitment continues to deliver football and fantastic experiences to full spectrum of community citizens Our Mission Through Football The Cardiff City FC Community & Education Foundation encourages children and young learners to enjoy playing, watching and learning through sport, in particular football. We firmly believe that by utilising the stature of Cardiff City Football Club within the local community, we have a responsibility to facilitate the development of youngsters, both physically and academically. Our commitment to equality and social inclusion is evident as we strive to provide the highest quality of service, in a safe and friendly environment where children can reap the rewards our projects in the local community. Who are we? Cardiff City FC Community & Education Foundation is the charitable arm of Cardiff City Football Club Ltd formed to help broaden the relationship between the Football Club and its Local Communities. We gained Registered Charitable Status in March 2008 and are headed up by Community Foundation Manager & former Cardiff City player Scott Young. Scott is supported by his Assistant, Marc Cahill and Education Manager Steve Ellis heading up the Education side of the department. This team has overseen the considerable growth of The Community & Education Foundation over the past few years. During the years when Cardiff City FC Community & Education Foundation habited a small office in Ninian Park, it had a total of 7 full time staff and a pool of 23 part time or casual staff delivering a number of community based projects throughout Cardiff, Bridgend & the South Wales Valleys. Having received Bronze Accreditation from The Football League Trust in September 2008, The C& E Foundation was one of a handful of Community Schemes to achieve Silver Accreditation in March 2009. This was due to us having reached a number of criterions raised from areas such as education, social inclusion and community participation. The Community Reward Scheme offered by the Community Foundation and supported by Cardiff City FC Ltd offers children who are underprivileged or children who are performing well in school the chance to watch a home Cardiff City fixture. Tickets are made available by the Football Club and by supporters who cannot make certain fixtures. This great scheme shows strength within the local community. Cardiff City s Community arm also helps those who are not fully abled. You will find out more about our work with those with mental and physical disabilities on page 7. inclusion

7 I'll Be There for Charities As a key pillar of the local community we understand the important ties which we have with our local projects and initiatives. This commitment continues to deliver fantastic experiences and support to those that do key work in the local community. At Cardiff City we support local charities who undertake invaluable work in the local community and beyond. The club often donates merchandise (both signed and unsigned) as well as providing publicity over our public address system, using our giant screen and in our match day programme all free of charge. On a match day we allow different charities to do collections at the Cardiff City Stadium. This proves extremely popular and is a fantastic way for us to show support for the good causes locally. Each season we select three club charities which we give additional support to too throughout the season. This season those charities are Ty Hafen and Breast Cancer Wales and The Welsh Guards Appeal. Throughout the season we will hold a number of charity events in aid of these organisations such as a charity race day at Chepstow Racecourse and a Ladies Night with a supporting charity calendar. In addition to this we offer support for the Official Football League Charity which for this season is Prostate Cancer Charity, who will have a designated match, as well as other promotional and fundraising opportunities throughout the season. As an additional push for this the club also have a large following for Movember and have an online team full of staff, players and fans alike. This can be found by visiting the Movember website. fundraising Cardiff City Community Reward Scheme Aims To reward underprivileged children Maximise capacities in the family stand Improve match day experience for families by ensuring that the right people are in the rightstands Tackle the age old issue of no-shows Give fans that may ordinarily not be able to come to matches the chance to attend. Scheme The Cardiff City Community Reward Scheme is an initiative where we ask season ticket holders who are not going to attend a specific fixtures in the Family Stand to let us know that their seats will be empty. We will then give their tickets to schools and charities, allowing those who may not have the opportunity normally to attend the game. Each match we will donate 50 tickets to the scheme, ensuring that we have an initial reach into the community and these tickets will be targeted at the key community groups. We will then put a deadline in place of 24 hours before the match to let us know if you are unable to attend, this then gives us ample time to distribute the tickets to charities, schools and the underprivileged. This scheme gives supporters a feeling of worth whilst overcoming a problem of no shows and not being able to sell them which then in turn puts families in areas that are not suitable. In addition all supporters that give up their tickets will receive a letter from the manager, thanking them for their help.

Survey of supporters After each match we randomly survey supporters with a view to finding out the little things that may negatively affect their match experience. This is done by taking a sample of stand ticket and corporate customers and asking them a set of questions in regards to their visit. If there are any complaints are issues raised from this survey they are immediately investigated with appropriate action implemented. This survey allows us to give ourselves an internal rating out of ten across the board so that we can ensure that we achieve a consistently high standard of service quality across all areas of the club. As a club we seek to constantly improve the match day experience for every fan that enters the stadium and so welcome and feedback or comment from fans. We also have a confidential line to report any problems or issues you may encounter. Canton Stand In this stand we are the proud host to the Football League s only live in stadia music stage. 2 hours prior to every game we have a band perform live on the stage which has proven extremely popular. In addition we have recently brought in a beer voucher system so fans wishing to have a few drinks can purchase their vouchers for their drink on arrival so they no longer have to queue when exchanging their voucher for their next drink. If you have any problems please call: 07554158224 and we will do all we can to help. atmosphere

13 I'll Be There after the game We are dedicated to ensuring that we create the perfect environment for all fans to enjoy their football. Whether your experience is good, bad or indifferent we want to do hear from you as to how we can improve it. feedback At Cardiff City we are constantly looking for ways to improve the match day experience for all supporters that visit us. Should you have any problems on the day we have a designated phone number that you can call and someone will be on hand to deal with your query. This number is 07554158224. Following the match we seek to hear feedback, positive or otherwise from fans that enter a statement. Following this feedback we look to make changes to the match day experience to suit the needs of you, the fan. This has seen us create our live music area in the Canton area which hosts a live band in the build-up to every match and has proved extremely popular with all supporters. In addition we have added playstations, skills areas and a magician into the family stand as well as creating a inside seating area and heated concourse areas in our Ninian which inhibits our more senior fans. Full details of this process can been seen below. City Calling This is a scheme that searched to empower supporters in voicing their opinions for change anonymously. At Cardiff City we realised that the only voices we heard were currently those that shouted the loudest or those who are the most pro-active. A regular family for example does not fit either of these criteria and this is one of our prospect groups therefore the more we can learn the better. We opened up certain elements of the matchday experience and give fans to chance to comment on things they have never been asked: - Range of food offerings on the concourse - Music Choice - Park and Ride options - Entertainment suggestions - Competition suggestions - What fans want to see in the matchday programme? - How was their match day? - How could it be improved? But most importantly, did they feel that outside of the matchday entertainment did they get value for money? We assess all feedback post match and then feed back a critique into each department before looking at ways to overcome any issues and make continuous improvement. This initiative searched to look beyond the creative minds in an office and instead ask those who experience matchdays at Cardiff City Stadium as supporters. If you have any additional comments about your day please email: tom@cardiffcityfc.co.uk
