4 All prospective students will undergo a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment to ensure that they have the skills to complete the course. Those whose language, literacy or numeracy that is not to the required standard will receive additional support, or if necessary referred to organisations that will provide the opportunity to gain additional skills prior to enrolment in the Certificate IV in Health Administration. Course Admission Requirements AMA RTO has set the following Admission Requirements. You must: Or Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Be at least 18 years of age; Have completed year 10 or equivalent; Have at least 6 months experience in Health Administration, Office Administration or other clerical functions Have completed a certificate III qualification or higher And Have general digital literacy skills and knowledge (basic principles of computing devices, skills in using computer networks, ability to engage in online communities and social networks) This qualification has been assessed to required LLN skills at ACSF level III. Pathways Study Pathways into HLT47315 Certificate IV in Health Administration No formal pathways into HLT47315 Certificate IV in Health Administration have been provided, however before entering this qualification you may have previously completed a range of lower or higher level qualifications, but seeking greater Health Administration skills and knowledge. 5 Your vocational experience The qualification you already completed The amount of time you can dedicate to study each week If you had extensive skills and knowledge or if you already successfully complete a similar course of study o part of it, you may complete the program earlier or achieve HLT47315 Certificate IV in Health Administration (or part of it) through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or credit transfer (CT). For more information about RPL and CT please refer the information provide further on, our student handbook or to our CT and RPL policy and procedure published on our website. On the opposite, an extension may be granted to you if you require more time to complete qualification. Delivery Modes This course is offered via Blended Delivery or On the Job Delivery. Blended delivery (8+1 months Full Time) Blended delivery means a mix of Face to Face sessions and self-directed study. Whilst the qualification is predominantly delivered online via webinars (for which attendance is compulsory), three days of face to face class have been included in order to satisfy all the requirements of this qualification including observations and practical tasks. Face to face classes will be normally held at the AMA Victoria headquarter at 293 Royal Parade Parkville, Victoria, however, different arrangements can be made to satisfy the needs of students living in regional areas of Victoria. In details, our blended delivery takes place as follow: 1. Your enrolment is finalised (you have signed and returned your statement of fees) 2. You are provided with a training plan and a delivery schedule. The delivery schedule tells you when webinars are run and when your administrative dates for submission of assessments are. 3. You are provided with log-in details for our Online Learning Management system where you can access learning material and assessments (48 to 72 hours after your enrolment is finalised) 4. Where applicable, PDF copy of the learning material is sent to you (48 to 72 hours after your enrolment is finalised) 5. Where applicable, EPUB copy of the learning material is sent to you (48 to 72 hours after your enrolment is finalised) 6. Where applicable, hard copy of additional reading material is sent to you (48 to 72 hours after your enrolment is finalised) 7. On the first Monday of the following month, the first online seminar is run (attendance is compulsory). During this online seminar, the facilitator will Welcome you to the program Explain to you the training and assessment process Guide you through the theory of the first two units of competency via: o Lecture o Q&A Guide you through the assessment material 8. You will then have four weeks for progressing with your study and submit the completed assessment kits for the unit. Assessment kits are to be returned to AMA RTO by the end of calendar month and before the administrative date set for submission of assessment (check your delivery schedule) 9. Two weeks after the first online seminar, a second two hours online seminar is run (attendance is not compulsory). During this online seminar the facilitator will: Answer questions from you and other students Provide clarifications on learning material or assessment tasks Provide the group with topic for discussion

If applicable for the unit (units) of competency, instead of the second webinar, a face to face class is run (attendance is compulsory) During this face to face session the facilitator will: Answer questions from you and other students Provide clarifications on learning material or assessment tasks Provide the group with topic for discussion Ask you to perform practical tasks as part of the assessment process. 11. Once the full assessment kit is received (on or before the relevant administrative date), assessment is marked and you will receive notification of outcome and feedback within 10 working days. 12. On the following month, the process starts again from step 3 for the next unit of competency. 13. The process is repeated (from step 3) for all units of competency until completion of the course 14. The final month is dedicated to catch-up time. If you have kept in line with the delivery schedule you will not need it.. The trainer will monitor your progress through the units and contact you via email, phone or another digital medium in order to ensure you are progressing according to your delivery schedule and to address any of your needs or concerns. You can contact your trainer at any time via email.. On the Job delivery (14 months) On the Job delivery means a mix one workplace visits (2 to 2.5 hours each) and self-directed study. In brief, on the job delivery takes place as follow 1. Your enrolment is finalised (you have signed and returned your statement of fees) 2. You are provided with a training plan. 3. You are provided with log-in details for our Online Learning Management system where you can access learning and assessments material for the first unit of competency (48 to 72 hours after your enrolment is finalised). 4. You can contact your trainer at any time via email, phone or any other medium as per agreed with your trainer. Please remember that to apply for On the Job delivery you must be working In a Healthcare facility at the time of application. The learning material accessed in different ways We want to give people the opportunity to access the material in different ways and to do so we offer it in several formats. The LMS is helpful if you are home and you want interactive material and you can access the material on a big screen. PDF is handy if you want to print the material or simply read on screen without having to click next to move between the pages. EPUB files are the optimal solutions to access the learning material via tablets or smartphones. In other words, we want you to be able to access your learning material at any time, wherever you are. When applicable, additional reading material (like books, articles etc.) will be provided to you in hard copy. Adjusting the delivery strategy to meet your needs Our objective is to encourage the development of new skills and knowledge as well as ensure we provide you with a level of support to best suit your needs. We use the information provided in your application to identify pre-existing skills and knowledge and to evaluate whether adjustments are to be made to our delivery strategy. If you receive confirmation of enrolment after Friday 26th of August but on or before Friday 30 th of September, then the commencement date of your course will be Thursday 6 th October 2016 For correspondence delivery, the Course Commencement date will be the day of the first online seminar Learning material will be made available to all students shortly after enrolment is finalised and before the first webinar Rolling intakes 2016 Units of competency schedule At AMA RTO, we are all about optimization of time, money and resources both for you and for us. As part of our mission to create a sustainable business, in our Blended Delivery, the units of competency will be delivered in a cycle, this means that according to the month your course commences, the units of competency you will start and end with are going to be different. For example, if you commence your course in April, the first units of competency you will undertake are CHCDIV001 Work with diverse people and CHCLEG001 and Work legally and ethically, however, if you commence your course in May the two units above are the last units of competency you will undertake. See the sample delivery schedule provided in this info pack for more information.

9 Please note that this delivery structure does not apply to On the Job Delivery. For our On the Job delivery method, the units of competency schedule will be negotiated with the participant and the supervisor (if applicable) at the time of confirmation of enrolment. On the job - 2016 intakes and Administrative dates For On the job delivery, intakes will be managed on a case by case basis. The actual course commencement date, which coincides with the first on the job visit, will be agreed between the student and the trainer. For on the job delivery, the delivery schedule will be developed taking into consideration the date in which the enrolment takes place and will b then adjusted according to individual circumstances. Learning material will be made available to all students shortly after enrolment is finalised and before the first workplace visit.. 10 Credit Transfer and RPL The objective of AMA RTO is to allow you to build new skills and knowledge on top of the one you already possess. If you have already completed a formal qualification (or part of it) or if you have sound skills, knowledge and vocational experience in a specific area, you may be eligible to receive Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Credit Transfer (CT) is the automatic recognition of competencies previously gained through formal study. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the formal assessment and recognition of skills and knowledge gained through life and work experience. CT and RPL may allow you to save time, effort and money while avoiding the unpleasant feeling of wasting time studying something you already know. You will be given the opportunity to apply for CT or RPL while completing your application pack. 13 Your Study requirements This course consists of 765 hours of structured learning activities and individual study. This is based on how long a student who does not hold any of the competencies identified in the relevant units of competency would take to develop all the required skills and knowledge. It includes all guided teaching and learning activities such as face to face classes, tutorials, webinars and online activities, oneon-one coaching and assessment as well as individual research and self-directed learning activities. While the actual amount of hours per week you will have to dedicate to this course may vary significantly according to your existing skills, knowledge and experience as well as familiarity with learning strategies, it is estimated that: For Blended Delivery, a student with no pre-existing skills and knowledge will have to dedicate approximately 22 hours of study per week on average in order to complete the course of study within its 8 months nominal duration. Because we want you to stay on track with your studies, we have not included the 9 th month on this calculation. For On the Job Delivery, a student with no pre-existing skills and knowledge will have to dedicate approximately 12 hours of study per week on average in order to complete the course of study within its 14 months nominal duration.
