PROFILE bureauhub is an idea driven design agency based in Milan and Stuttgart, founded by Tobias Hegemann and Chiara Baccarini. The firm focuses on architecture and design, from urban scale projects to interiors, installations and objects. bureauhub conceptual work is predicated on functionalism, programmatic rigor, social acceptance and poetic expression. Researching and testing progressive ideas in a proactive way, enhancing experience of space and relationship between people, we believe architecture can contribute to change standard behaviors and thinking and open up to a new perception of space. The studio is cross-disciplinary oriented and in open dialogue with other fields of science, art and architecture, collaborating with multiple experts to generate innovative, environmental friendly architectural solutions. Prior to founding bureauhub Tobias Hegemann and Chiara Baccarini professional development spans across Germany, Italy, Spain and the United States with collaborations for internationally renowned creative offices like Diller, Scofidio + Renfro, Zaha Hadid, Massimiliano Fuksas and Behnisch & Partner. bureauhub was Golden A Design Award Winner in 2012-2013, has been nominated Finalist in Architizer A+ Awards 2013 as well as shortlisted at the Heinze Architekten Award Fascination Interior Space in 2012. Tobias Hegemann founding partner of bureauhub. Prior to founding bureauhub, Hegemann gained nine years of experience with the role of Project-Leader and Senior Architect at Diller, Scofidio + Renfro, Zaha Hadid, Massimiliano Fuksas and Behnisch & Partners. Since 2011 Hegemann is Visiting Lecturer at University of Stuttgart at IRGE Institute and has been invited as Guest Critic at Cornell University AAP, Ithaca, RPI, Troy, Cooper Union, NYC, Cornell University AAP, Rome and Politecnico, Milan. He is a licensed Architect in Architektenkammer Stuttgart Chiara Baccarini founding partner of bureauhub. Baccarini studied in Italy and Spain where she won the Erasmus. She gained ten years professional being involved on over 30 international architecture competitions at Diller, Scofidio + Renfro, Zaha Hadid, Massimiliano Fuksas and Behnisch & Partners. Baccarini has been invited as Guest Critic at Pratt Institute, NYC, Cornell University AAP, Rome and Politecnico, Milan.
