Click the icon for EHR. The EHR login window appears. FALL 2014 3 Verify that the login window is showing the database NGPROD. Enter your Student ID in the User field and the temporary password Newuser1 in the Password field. Click Logon. FALL 2014 4
You will be asked to change your temporary password. Click OK. Note: if you are unable to get to this screen, and receive a deactivated error, contact X7500 to reactivate your account. FALL 2014 5 Enter your new password in the New Password box and then again in the Confirm New Password box. Review the password requirements. It is ok to choose the same password you have set of for your computer login. FALL 2014 6
The EHR application will now open. Before you can use the EHR, you will need to set up your user preferences. First, choose a temporary location. Select Advanced Ophthalmic Care, then click OK. FALL 2014 7 Next, choose a temporary provider. Select Chaglasian, Michael, then click OK. FALL 2014 8
Next, you will customize your desktop settings. Navigate to the top tool bar and select Tools and the select Preferences FALL 2014 9 On the first tab labeled General select the initial field dropdown and change the selection to Med Rec Num. FALL 2014 10
Under Initial Module, select Workflow. FALL 2014 11 Next, click the third tab labeled Medical Records. Click both checkboxes under location and provider labeled Default to last selected. FALL 2014 12
Click the fourth tab labeled Templates. Under the available templates window on the left, scroll to IEI - HOME, click to highlight, and select the arrow to move to the Preferred Templates window. Do the same for the following templates: IEI Post-Op Exam, IEI Vision Therapy Session, Patient Comments And Patient Communication FALL 2014 13 Navigate back to Tools, scroll to Top toolbar and then to Customize. The Customize Top Toolbar window appears. FALL 2014 14
Under Current toolbar buttons click the name Separator, located above the word Close. FALL 2014 15 Under Available toolbar buttons on the left, click on Templates, select your control key on the keyboard, and then continue to select the following: Documents, Problems, Allergies and Medications. With all selected, click the Add button. FALL 2014 16
Then click Close. FALL 2014 17 On the top tool bar, click the Inbox Icon. The workflow inbox window opens. FALL 2014 18
Right- Click the top blue panel and select window configuration FALL 2014 19 Click on the top middle layout and click OK. FALL 2014 20
Next, you will need to open a test patient to set the final preferences for encounter folder display and Medication Module display. Click the patient lookup ion on the top bar. The patient look up window opens. FALL 2014 21 In the medical record number box, type 5854. Then click Find. FALL 2014 22
When you open the patient, the patient history window will appear on the right. FALL 2014 23 Select the first encounter folder in the list, right click and select Customize Display. FALL 2014 24
Uncheck the box for time, and select the box for Provider and choose LastFM in the list. Below, check the box for location, then click OK. FALL 2014 25 Click the Medication (RX) icon on the top bar. The Medication Module window opens. FALL 2014 26
Click on Grid Preferences then Set Columns to display. FALL 2014 27 Under Available Columns. Select Prescribed Elsewhere and click Add. FALL 2014 28
Select Prescribed Elsewhere and then click Move Up, until it is located second, below Status. FALL 2014 29 Select Last Audit, click Move Up until it is located below Prescribed Elsewhere, in the third position. Click Ok. FALL 2014 30
Right-Click on the column for Prescribed Elsewhere. Select Group & Sort Same Column FALL 2014 31 Click the X by Medication Module to close it. FALL 2014 32
Finally, navigate to File, then choose Close Patient to close the test patient s record. FALL 2014 33 Then click Logout.
