GROUP RAUMAN CONTINUOUS INNOVATION Set up in 1985, RAUMAN GROUP has specialised in designing, developing and selling architectonic solutions to compartmentalise office spaces. The headquarters of RAUMAN GROUP are located in San Sebastian, a city in the Basque Country, Northern Spain, which is a benchmark for R+D+i. It aims to develop compartmentalisation systems which stimulate, inspire and motivate people in their workplace. R+D+i Aware that only innovating companies can be competitive, RAUMAN GROUP has its own Research, Development and Innovation (I+D+i) management system, which coordinates the whole group s actions in this field. RESEARCH: Finding out about market trends and getting ahead of them, aiming to be future trend setters. Experimenting with new materials, new technologies and continually innovating. DESIGN: Working from the idea that the major problem in design nowadays involves values, all other problems are interesting but rather superficial. We set the idea of what a design should be (beautiful, functional, practical and easy to produce) for RAUMAN GROUP to develop their products. This refers to producing a compartmentalising system, where all the elements are perfectly integrated on solutions that can be used on any job, making it easier to adapt them to the surroundings and simplifying assembly. Easy production leads to competitive service and prices, always seeking out attractive, minimalist and elegant aesthetics. DEVELOPMENT: Implementing the designs. For this, previously designed products are specified, defined and developed down to the last detail, to be industrialised, and at the same time following the RAUMAN GROUP pricing policy guidelines to set rates, create modular catalogues and other tools intended for the client afterwards. 14 15

RAUMAN ENGINEERING This is the brain centre of the RAUMAN GROUP which, in addition to sales work, interacts with the whole group to coordinate it efficiently and offer the optimum service the client expects. Customer service is the be all and end all at Rauman, so sales teams are organised by country, giving personalised attention to each client in their own language. It is based on 3 mainstays: SALES : Advises and informs clients about the product s advantages, what makes them stand out from the competition, and sales policies to follow, to win 100% of the projects. SERVICE : Advises and informs clients about the product s technical details and the project design. In order to obtain the most competitive project possible, they propose solutions to any needs which might appear on site and they coordinate order priorities. The Service manager provides direct and daily contact with the client. APPLICATION DESIGN: Designs the application based on the clients project needs, optimising cost and design. 16 17

CENTRES PRODUCTIVE RAUMAN GROUP has invested 4 million euros in new production technologies managing to double the company s production capacity. Targets for RAUMAN GROUP production centres: Optimising production processes Optimising QUALITY Reducing delivery deadlines Consequently, RAUMAN GROUP production centres are constantly updating new technologies and work methods, making use of the latest generation CNC digital control machinery. In order to strengthen the Closet business unit, RAUMAN GROUP will invest 1 milion euros opening a new production centre in 2011. 18 19
