OTHER MELINK T&B SERVICES 30-60 Day Recheck: One of our most popular services! The purpose of the recheck is to revisit your store after it has opened to verify that the punch list from our original T&B report has been addressed, as well as to inquire about any comfort or performance problems the store manager might be having. This service holds contractors more accountable and saves construction time and money. List Price = 0.4 x [(64 x A/C Tons) + (0.27 x Exhaust CFM) + 1230] (Based on flexible scheduling when Melink is already in the area) Total Rebalance: Another classic Melink service! A total rebalance ensures that existing store HVAC systems that have not been balanced by Melink in more than three years are still operating at peak efficiency. Over time, building pressure can become negative, hood capture can become weak, hot and cold spots can develop in the dining room, and Operations can start to receive high energy bills and customer complaints. This service saves Facilities time, complaints, and money. (Unless Melink performed the original T&B, in which case the price is reduced to 0.9 x Total HVAC Test & Balance Price) Partial Rebalance: When Facilities decides to replace older A/C rooftop units with new units on several stores or to replace older exhaust fans serving the hoods, many chains turn to Melink to test and balance their new equipment. Are fan rotations correct? Are they under- or over-supplying airflow? Are they pulling excessive motor amps? Are the outside air dampers set properly? Any other concerns? Call Melink. (Enter only the A/C Tons and/or Exhaust CFM being considered in the partial rebalance) Problem Investigation: When Operations has a specific problem at a store and does not want to pay for a normal balance, what do you do? Call Melink. Whether it is a building pressure, hood capture, or comfort complaint, we will focus our efforts on correcting just the problem at hand. List Price = (Number of Hours x $150) + Travel Cost Water Balance: If you re building stores inside malls or multi-story buildings, you will typically need your HVAC systems water balanced as well. Let Melink adjust the hot and chilled water flows to each of your air handlers to ensure optimal system performance. There is no need to exhaust 4000 CFM and supply 2500 CFM when you could simply exhaust 1500 CFM and accomplish the same thing. This poses a tremendous opportunity to reduce operating costs at stores with shortcircuit hoods. Let us turn off supply fans and slow down exhaust fans to provide you immediate savings! (Based on purchasing & installing new pulleys and rebalancing store exhaust & outside air quantities) Smoke Detector Testing: More and more inspectors are requiring verification that the A/C unit smoke detectors have been tested and are operating within the manufacturer s specifications.
