1 Chris Clement 701 Bayou Lane Thibodaux, LA Position: Facility Assistant Maintenance Manager B Date: May 17, present 70% OF TIME- is spent on following duties. Assist the Facility Maintenance Manager B in the management of construction, maintenance, and repair activities for the entire campus, consisting of 1,201,909 square feet of building space, 56 building, and a budget of approximately $1,704,156. Responsible for the direct management of a 59 member work force 5 foremen. Responsible for the management of personnel records, including Performance Planning and Review Sessions for all foremen reporting to this position. Also, review and approve all sessions held by said foreman for their subordinates. Responsible for the management of the Maintenance Manager Program that controls Preventative maintenance on all mechanical devices such as chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and pumps. Also responsible for the maintenance on all electrical panels and motors and motor pool vehicles. Responsible for the design, implementation, and continues on-line monitoring of software program that tracks work order progress. Responsible for issuing work orders to appropriate trades, and for maintaining a spreadsheet which allows for the generations of monthly reports showing the progress of all jobs. Routing responsibilities include the scheduling of maintenance repairs and construction projects on campus. Responsible for conduction weekly meetings with all foremen and for providing assistance to the Safety Director for monthly safety meetings. Assist the Facility Maintenance Manager B with daily operations of the Maintenance Department, assuming his responsibilities in his absence. Maintain twenty-four hour on-call emergency system, on a rotation basis. Assist FMMC in the preparation of all cost studies, budgets, and preventative maintenance contracts.

2 25% OF TIME- is spent on the following duties. Responsible for the coordination of efforts with the Project Manager & Safety Director on all projects to assure compliance with all A.D.A. standards, and Fire and Safety codes. Responsible for the writing and reviewing for specifications for various other state agencies and various contractors. Work closely with the Assist VP of Administration in monitoring work progress on various contracts and in planning future projects. 5% OF TIME- is spent on the following duties. Responsible for membership on numerous committees campus wide, to assure Successful completing of various projects affecting the entire University. Responsible for interactions with counterparts at other universities to maintain flow of information on new and innovative methods in maintaining a physical plant and any other duties assigned. Member of L.A.P.P.A., the Louisiana Association of Physical Plant Administrators. Position: Heat/Vent/AC Foreman Date: July 20, 1992 May 17, 2010 As the HVAC Foreman, I have total responsibility of running the NSU refrigeration department which includes all the HVAC Master Mechanic responsibilities (see HVAC Master Mechanic experience) plus other administrative duties and responsibilities: 50% OF TIME is spent on the following duties. Supervisor o Three mechanics, one maintenance repairman, and one trade helper. o Give written and oral assignments and duties to the workers. o Inspect and review work to make sure it was done properly and safely. o Perform annual evaluations. Computer System

3 o NSU has a JC Metasys computer system that operates the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems on campus. I manage the HVAC system by putting in different programs that start and stop the systems across the campus. I also monitor each chill water and hot water systems to make sure they are running properly across campus. 25% OF TIME is spent on the following duties. Rotate with the Facility Maintenance Manager, the Facility Assistant Maintenance Manager and the Electrician Foreman taking the campus duty call which includes being available whenever there is a maintenance problem on campus. When a problem arises, I will try to solve it first, then if needed call out the trade that is needed to make sure the problem in resolved. Maintain the inventory of the HVAC shop supplies and keep logs up to date on motors, compressors, or parts which are changed. Oversee the annual maintenance of the chillers on campus. 25% OF TIME is spent on the following duties. Read and understand building specification plans for new and renovated buildings on campus. Assist in the preparations of the deferred maintenance plan of the buildings and equipment on campus. Assist in the preparations of the HVAC department s annual budget. Serve on the NSU Campus Emergency Preparedness Committee. Assist and participate in the NSU Campus Quarterly Maintenance update meetings. Position: Heat/Vent/AC Master Mechanic Date: March 26, 1990 July 20, 1992 As the HVAC Master Mechanic, I make sure that all the below are done properly and safely. I consult with the HVAC Foreman and the Maintenance Manager/Campus on their suggestions and advise on how the job should be done. When necessary I work side by side with the HVAC Foreman, Maintenance Manager/Campus and other mechanics and helpers to complete the job.

4 50% OF TIME is spent on the following duties. Supervise one mechanic, one maintenance repairman and two trade helpers. Maintain, install and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling systems on the NSU campus, which consist of 33 units, 19 of which are very large buildings. Perform all necessary repairs on boilers, chillers and exhaust fans to keep them in working order. Maintain and repair all walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, refrigerators, incubators, and cold drink boxes located throughout the campus. Check, repair, and replace parts on the air conditioning and heating systems on campus vehicles, which include a MCI 44 passenger bus with a heating and cooling system. Evacuate refrigerant systems with a vacuum pump. Rough in refrigerant lines for new systems to be installed on campus. Put the proper refrigerant charge in window units or refrigerators which I have repaired by using a refrigeration charging cylinder. When repair is necessary it usually consist of moving or repairing old equipment, such as pumps, motors, compressors, air handlers, boilers, chillers, exhaust fans and condenser units. 50% OF TIME is spent on the following duties. Preventative Maintenance of all heating and cooling systems which include: o Greasing motors, pumps and bearings on all equipment. o Check oil and refrigerant levels in all systems and make necessary adjustments to bring them back to working order. o Change oil and drier cores in large chillers. o Check chemicals for treatment of water in cooling towers and chill and hot water systems; then add the proper amounts of chemicals to keep the systems in range suggested by the chemical consultant. o Change or clean filters in air handlers. o Adjust pneumatic and electrical controls on various types of equipment.
