Welcome to the HVAC Sales Academy Learning Management System (LMS) Walkthrough: In this walkthrough we will show you the basics of navigating around inside our new LMS system. This should help make it easier for you to get started and answer the most frequently asked questions. So take a minute to save this PDF to your desktop for easy reference as you need it. Section One Navigation and associated pages: Once you are logged in and have chosen to use the LMS system you will see the main dashboard, you will see this main dashboard every time you log in (pictured below p.1a). p.1a From your dashboard you will have a few options. If you want to go ahead and start your training simply click the button on the main navigation labeled HVAC Course List or you can use the Start Your Training Now button in the slider. As seen below p.1b & p.1c
p.1b p.1c From there you will be taken to the Courses page to choose your course and get started which will be covered in the section 2. You will also see Membership Contents and Membership Details buttons in the main navigation as pictured below p.1d & p.1e. p.1d p.1e From inside these pages you can edit and control your user profile, change or retrieve your password etc. As well you can change your payment options, your card information or use our 1 click course add on feature allowing you to add additional training courses to your training as you need them. Section 2 Available Courses Page As mentioned in Section 1 Main Navigation above once you decide to get started and you click the HVAC Courses Page link you will be taken to a page with all of your available and upcoming training courses shown below p.2a From this page you can choose the course you are currently studying or if you are just getting started you will be required to start with The Power of Consistency Mindset Training before continuing to any of the other courses.
So you simply choose your course to get started shown below p.2b p.2b Once you have chosen your course you will be directed to the Lesson List Page for that particular course. Shown below p.2c p.2c You will notice a few different sections on this page. Each of these sections contains information or downloads you will need to complete the course and lessons associated with it. The first section you will see is the Information and Requirements section pictured below p2.d, this section contains instructions you will need to follow to make sure you get the most out of the training as well as anything required for the course.
p.2d The next section is where any and all downloadable content needed for studying, as well as for use during the course training itself will be posted. You will just simply need to click each download file provided in this section before starting your first lesson. Shown below p.2e p.2e And of course you will see the Lessons section. In this section the lessons for the course are listed. This is a linear training so you will need to start with Lesson #1 if it is your first time in the LMS but you can always continue from where you left off if you are returning. Shown below p.2f p.2f Inside this section all you will need to do is click on the name of the Lesson and it will pop open. Pictured below p.2g p.2g Inside the lesson dropdown you will have a few options. You will be able to view your report card if you have already completed some of the topics for any lesson or see what you have completed. You can also add any lesson to your
favorites list so you can go back to it for easy reference when you need a refresher and you can also rate a lesson after you complete it which will help us to make the training better as we go based on your input. Shown below p.2h, report card shown in image p.2i p.2h
You will also see the Start Lesson Button. Simply click this button and you will be taken to the Topics List for that lesson. Pictured below p.2j p.2j Once in the topics page you will notice another resources section at the top of the page. This section will tell you what you will need from what you downloaded and which pages you will be covering to make sure you are ready with all the materials you need to complete these topics. Shown below p.2k p.2k
You will notice as well that the topics also have the same options allowing you to favorite any topic from within a lesson, see your progress with the report card or add your rating for each topic you ve completed. There is also the Start Topic Button. Once you click that you will be taken to the actual topic training module. Pictured below p.3a P.3a From here you will watch the training video. Once you have completed the video simply choose the Take The Quiz button listed below the video in the Quizzes and Resources section. P.3b p.3b You will see more options for adding to favorites, see your stats etc. These are simply for utility purposes and will help you navigate through the system easier by being available to you on every page, but to continue with the training you need to simply click the Take the Quiz button and you will be taken to the quiz that covers the video you just watched. p.3c Once you have completed the Test for the Topic you are studying simply click the Finish Quiz at the bottom of the page and you will be taken to the results page for that topic and quiz. Pictured below p.3d
p3.d On this page you will be given your quiz results as well as the time it took for you to complete the training quiz and where you rank compared to other students who have taken this course. From there simply click the Continue button at the bottom of the page. ***IMPORTANT NOTE *** YOU MUST SCORE AT LEAST AN 80% OR HIGHER TO MOVE ON TO THE NEXT TOPIC. IF YOU DO NOT SCORE ABOVE 79.9% YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REDIRECTED BACK TO THE QUIZ TO TRAY AGAIN! **IMPORTANT NOTICE** We hope this walkthrough has helped explain our new system and will make it easier for you to navigate through the LMS without any problems but if for any reason you do get stuck at any point simply contact us at info@weldonlong.com or call us at 719-304-5300 and we will be happy to help you.
