Who are we? GBI Racing launched as a joint venture company between Racing UK and At The Races on March 1, 2010. We are a best-of-breed TV broadcast and media service delivering high-quality, live thoroughbred racing content, data, information and promotions around the world. GBI Racing is the sole rights holder for the distribution of British & Irish racing to overseas retail betting outlets and online operators. Our mission therefore is to protect and maximise the value of UK and Irish horseracing media rights in the international betting market. We aim to provide wagering customers with the world s favourite horseracing service by delivering live, multi-camera coverage of nearly 12,000 races a year from all 59 British and 26 Irish racecourses. EPSOM DERBY & OAKS The Derby is the richest, most prestigious Classic of the British Flat season, and arguably the world, and is often referred to as the Blue Riband of the turf. The Investec Derby is run at Epsom Downs, over 2400m on the first Saturday in June. First run in 1780, the Derby remains the ultimate race that all racehorse owners want to win. The fillies version, The Oaks, headlines the first day of the meeting. ROYAL ASCOT Royal Ascot is one of the world s most famous race meetings, bringing together the very best of racing and fashion. Over five spectacular days in June, the very best horses, jockeys and trainers from around the world gather to compete at Britain s truly international meeting. With eighteen group races on offer over 5 days, there is no meeting like it anywhere else. IRISH DERBY & OAKS The Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby is run at The Curragh, the home of Irish Flat racing, over the same trip as its Epsom equivalent and is generally run 3 weeks later. Sixteen horses have completed a famous English-Irish Derby double, the most Feature flat meetings 07 recent being Camelot in 2012. The Darley Oaks is run a couple of weeks later. NEWMARKET JULY MEETING Racing at Newmarket switches to the July course, where runners from around the globe compete for glory in some of the summer s top races, including The Darley July Cup, Europe s premier sprint race. GLORIOUS GOODWOOD The Qatar Glorious Festival is staged at one of the most picturesque racecourses in the world, this summer highlight takes place on the rolling hills of the South Downs. The beautiful setting provides the backdrop for the world s top horses and jockeys to do battle at this iconic Festival. DONCASTER ST LEGER The final Classic of the British Flat season, the St Leger is both the longest in distance and the oldest (first run in 1776). Staged in September at Doncaster over 2900m, the race is the final leg of the historic English Triple Crown (the other legs being the 2000 Guineas and the Derby). BRITISH CHAMPIONS DAY QIPCO British Champions Day is Britain s richest raceday and is headlined by the Champion Stakes. It represents a fantastic opportunity for the stars of the Flat racing season to compete on one of the world s greatest stages on one momentous day and is the culmination of the British Champion Series.
QIPCO British Champions Series The QIPCO British Champions Series incorporates the 35 top Flat races in the British horseracing calendar, showcasing the best Flat racing on the planet. The Series comprises five championship categories; Sprint, Mile, Middle Distance, Long Distance and Fillies & Mares. Each features the seven highest-rated races in that category, including no less than 12 of the world s top 20 races, and brings together the finest horses, jockeys and trainers to compete for the sport s most prestigious prizes. The Series is staged at the country s leading racecourses - Ascot, Doncaster, Epsom Downs, Goodwood, Haydock Park, Newbury, Newmarket s July Course, Newmarket s Rowley Mile, Sandown Park and York. IRISH CHAMPIONS WEEKEND The Longines Irish Champions Weekend is a new highlight of the Flat racing season, not just within Ireland but also globally, given the quality of races that are staged and the provision of top-class opportunities over the full spectrum of ages and distances. The weekend in September welcomes the world s leading horses, owners, trainers and jockeys to what is two magnificent days of sporting competition. The QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown on the Saturday and the Palmerstown House Estate Irish St Leger at the Curragh on the Sunday are the feature races in a combined programme which represents the greatest concentration of quality Flat racing ever staged in Ireland. The race programme includes five Group 1 races, two Group 2 races, three Group 3 races and four premier handicaps. The two-day meeting is a showcase for Flat racing in Ireland, creating a high profile event attracting the best horses in the world and ensuring that Ireland has a meeting which can bear comparison with all other major international meetings. This service is charged at an annual fixed price for each shop and provides the following: Horseracing Greyhound Racing Numbers Betting Virtual PARI-MUTUEL BETTING GBI Racing has established agreements with UK Tote and Tote Ireland to enable international operators to access host pools in UK/Ireland. For commingling solutions, GBI Racing has arrangements in place with various hub providers to enable bets to be transmitted. Integration is quick and easy. Bet types include race-by-race bets such as Win, Place, Exacta and Trifecta on every race plus more complex multi-leg bets such as Jackpot and Scoop6 where customers can win large sums with a small stake. SIS/GBI Fixed Odds Service TIMEFORM Viewers around the world are now able to tap into the expertise and knowledge of Timeform to help them back more winners on GBI Racing. Integrated with the GBI service, our Flags and Ratings give customers even more information about every runner in every race. Each horse is allocated a Timeform Rating that is converted into a simple to understand 0-100 scale. The top-rated horse in every race is allocated the Gold Star Flag. The Horses For Courses Flag, highlights a horse who is likely to enjoy the course configuration, based on their previous record at similar style tracks. The Jockey Uplift Flag identifies when the engaged rider has a notably higher Timeform Jockey Ranking than those who ve ridden the horse on its most recent starts. Finally the Trainer Form Flag pinpoints those trainers who are in hot form, based upon the Timeform ratings related measurements look at the recent performance of their runners. Our flags are displayed pre-race and are designed in such a way to make them easy for viewers to follow.
