1 Retalix TCP Connection Overview The Retalix TCP Reader program is a software application that transfers data from the Retalix POS system to the VIGIL Server DVR. The Retalix TCP Reader application is installed on the VIGIL Server DVR system. The Retalix POS system connects with the TCP data reader over the network. The Retalix TCP Reader converts the POS data into VIGIL Server format and inserts this POS data into the VIGIL Server database. The data can then be viewed in the VIGIL Server Live Viewer as well as in the Playback window alongside corresponding video footage. This Retalix implementation was designed to utilize a feature added to the following versions and will not function correctly on any older versions: Type: Store Next ISS45 Version: 7.1.2.0-050 Type: Store Next ISS45 Version: 8.1.4.0-050 Type: StorePoint Version: unknown POS Data Flow Chart Typical Network Topology 3xLogic Inc Tech Tip Doc# 12012412 Page 2 of 9
