ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS Dave Mageli David is the President of Account Receivable Solutions, Inc. and has 35 years of bad debt experience. He is the current Board Executive and Past Chair of St. Johns DDA. David has been married to his wife Sharlene for 29 years and has two grown children, Brett & Baily. Tim Vreeman Tim joined the leadership team of Allied Business Services Inc. in 2011 and serves as its Vice President. Before Allied, he served as the Executive Director of Youth for Christ of Ottawa and Allegan Counties and as the Executive Pastor of Ridge Point Community Church in Holland. In total, Tim has 24 years of leadership experience. Tim has enjoyed engaging in organizations like HFMA, MMGMA, MMBA, and MPAA to stay current on the latest challenges and successes in healthcare. Additionally, Tim empowers medical groups and patient financial service teams by providing educational sessions in Point of Service Collections, Collections 101 and Revenue Cycle Analysis. He is an active member of MACA, Michigan's Association of Collection Agencies where he is currently serving on the Board as Unit Leader. Tim and his wife, Amy, have three children, Lydia (15), Clark (13), and Temesgen (10). Temesgen, or T.J. joined the Vreeman family 5 years ago from Ethiopia. Nick McLaughlin Nick McLaughlin is a Ridiculously Nice Sales Guy for Americollect. He used to be a bill collector himself where he learned that patients really do want to take care of their accounts, and sometimes just need some help and cooperation. Oh yeah, he s also a son, brother, husband, and father of two! Janet Mateo As a Medicare Outreach Analyst, Janet is responsible for Provider Education and Training for Medicare providers in the J8 and J5 National jurisdiction. WPS services hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and a number of other provider types such as ESRD and Outpatient Rehabilitation facilities. Provider Education and Training activities include participation on provider advisory groups, conducting educational seminars, teleconferences, webinars and developing Medicare education based on the needs of the provider community. Before joining WPS Medicare formerly known as Mutual of Omaha in 1999, Janet was employed by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society for 10 years at local chapters in New Jersey and Illinois. Janet has a BS degree in Marketing from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and has a MSW from Rutgers University School of Social Work. Janet also received postgraduate training in Psychotherapy from the Center for Postgraduate Studies in Psychotherapy in Red Bank, New Jersey. Janet has close to 25 years of experience in health care with the last 14 years spent in the Medicare claims area. 4
