Intergraph Geospatial Portfolio More than ever before, we can sense the real world around us from space, the air, and the ground. Let the data work for you. Intergraph s geospatial portfolio connects photogrammetry, remote sensing, and GIS to provide a streamlined system. Discover and exploit the wealth of information contained in data from any source, share it rapidly (and securely), and deliver it on demand as reliable and actionable information to drive smarter decisions. This document highlights the broad portfolio themes for this release, as well some of the exciting new features (and user benefits) within each product. Photogrammetry LPS LPS is a powerful photogrammetry system available in a user-friendly environment that guarantees results even for photogrammetry novices. LPS provides tools for delivering full analytical triangulation, digital terrain model generation, orthophoto production, mosaicking, and 3D feature extraction. Automating precision measurement and including flexible operations such as terrain editing and feature extraction, LPS increases productivity while ensuring high accuracy. With its tight integration with ERDAS IMAGINE, LPS is the ideal photogrammetric package for projects involving varied types of data and further processing and analysis of airborne and satellite imagery. Faster, Easier Access to All LPS Tools and Features All LPS tools and features are now presented within the ERDAS IMAGINE ribbon, with tighter integration with the ERDAS IMAGINE tools. This simplifies workflows for project photogrammetry users who work with smaller quantities of raw imagery, use varied types of data (such as raster, vector, GIS, LiDAR, georeferenced tables), and who will likely perform further processing, such as change detection or image classification. Enhanced Terrain Handling The commonly used LTF terrain file format can now store more points. In addition, there are now overviews for an LTF file, enabling faster handling of large LTF files. Expanded Sensor Support Support for additional sensors, including the VisionMap A3 Super Large Format (SLF) Model, the Pleiades Rational Polynomial Coefficients (RPC) Model, and the DEIMOS RPC Model. These sensor models are also available throughout ERDAS IMAGINE 2013 Additional Input Device Choices Support for the Z/I Mouse (in addition to Topomouse) provides you with additional input device choices. 4

ImageStation The ImageStation software suite enables digital photogrammetry workflows, including project creation, orientation and triangulation, 3D feature collection and editing, digital terrain model (DTM) collection and editing, and orthophoto production using aerial and satellite imagery. ImageStation is specially designed for high-volume commercial photogrammetry and production mapping customers who need to move large quantities of raw spatial information to an actionable or exploitable format. Dense Terrain Surface Extraction from Leica RCD30 and Z/I DMC imagery ImageStation Automatic Elevations Extended (ISAE-Ext) is now available to generate dense point clouds using pixel correlation on stereo imagery from Leica RCD30 and Z\I DMC sensors. It uses a Semi- Global Matching (SGM) algorithm and also RGB encodes the point cloud output for image-like quality. Distributable Processing in ImageStation Automatic Elevations ImageStation Automatic Elevations (the automatic terrain extraction module of ImageStation) can now use Condor to distribute large tasks among multiple computers and cores, significantly reducing processing time. Enhanced Support for Ingesting Surfaces (More Formats, Better Performance) ImageStation now includes native support for additional terrain formats (ArcGrid, ADF, XYZ). In addition, performance is better when rendering terrain or probing to determine the z-value at given x and y coordinates. Access to Advanced Aerial Triangulation and Visual Analysis Tools in ORIMA You can now launch ORIMA from the interface of ImageStation Automatic Triangulation. This provides easy access to ORIMA s advanced aerial triangulation and visual analysis tools. 5

Remote Sensing ERDAS IMAGINE 2013 ERDAS IMAGINE performs advanced remote sensing analysis and spatial modeling to create new information. In addition, with ERDAS IMAGINE, you can visualize your results in 2D, 3D, movies, and on cartographic-quality map compositions. The core of the ERDAS IMAGINE product suite is engineered to scale with your geospatial data production needs. Optional modules providing specialized functionalities are also available to enhance your productivity and capabilities. IMAGINE Essentials is the entry-level image processing product for map creation and simple feature collection tools. IMAGINE Advantage enables advanced image registration, mosaicking and image analysis, and change detection capabilities. IMAGINE Professional includes a production toolset for spectral and radar processing, and spatial modeling. New Tools and Technology for Handling Point Clouds ERDAS IMAGINE 2013 enables you to more thoroughly visualize, analyze, and manage your point clouds. New viewing technology allows you to simultaneously view point clouds in 2D, 3D and as a userspecified profile that can reveal cross sections of the point cloud. There are also tools to classify, subset and filter your point data, as well as RGB encode it (use an orthophoto of the same area to add color to the points). Next-Generation Spatial Modeler The next-generation spatial modeler features an all-new, modern interface and provides real-time preview of results. In addition to the ERDAS IMAGINE raster operators, the new spatial modeler incorporates GeoMedia vector and grid operators to greatly extend the problem-solving capability. Python scripting allows users to extend the utility of the modeler and even incorporate operators from other software (such as ArcGIS). New Expanded Sensor Support Available Throughout ERDAS IMAGINE New Tools in the IMAGINE Radar Mapping Suite IMAGINE Radar Mapping Suite provides new tools that enable easier, more thorough use of radar data resources. Many of the radar tools are now presented using a ribbon interface for faster and easier access. Other features include real-time ship tracking with Automatic Identification System (AIS) feeds, on-the-fly georeferencing, and quick and easy detection of floods or spills Better Results for Object-based Feature Extraction IMAGINE Objective uses a new segmentation algorithm, FLS, and provides you with the ability to finetune the creation of segments based on shape, size, texture, and spectral value. Additional Indices and a Streamlined Interface for Working with Indices ERDAS IMAGINE 2013 includes more than 35 of the most commonly used indices (band algebra formulas that enable easier information extraction from imagery), and the interface used to work with indices is now streamlined. The indices work with all of the sensor models supported by ERDAS IMAGINE, and the indices tool is connected to the spatial modeler for easy editing. 6

GIS GeoMedia GeoMedia is a powerful GIS management package that enables you to realize the maximum value of your geospatial resources, integrating them to present clear, actionable information. It provides simultaneous access to geospatial data in almost any form, uniting them in a single map view for efficient processing, analysis, presentation, and sharing. GeoMedia's intuitive, dynamic analysis functionality enables concatenation of analysis processes so the results of one operation feed directly into the next process, as well as automatic updating of results in response to data changes. GeoMedia is now available in three tiers to meet a broad spectrum of organizations needs: GeoMedia Essentials: Query Analysis Image Preparation GeoMedia Essentials allows access to a wide range of data sources and formats for dynamic, ad-hoc analysis and high-fidelity rendering of vector feature data. GeoMedia Essentials also includes IMAGINE Essentials. GeoMedia Advantage: Vector and Raster/Image Analytics for Feature and Terrain data GeoMedia Advantage provides all the functionality of GeoMedia Essentials (including IMAGINE Essentials), as well as the ability to work directly with gridded data. This includes integrating vector feature data with gridded data. GeoMedia Advantage also enables you to leverage LiDAR data. GeoMedia Professional: Feature Data Capture/Management with Quality Control GeoMedia Professional provides all the functionality of GeoMedia Advantage. In addition, it offers streamlined feature capture and editing tools and enables you to manage complex linear networks. It also includes a complete set of quality assurance tools. Newly Streamlined and Modernized User Interface GeoMedia 2013 introduces a new, modern user interface that logically groups commands into a ribbon control similar to those in Microsoft Office and ERDAS IMAGINE. All GeoMedia add-ons will have their own tab. The first add-ons available with the GeoMedia 2013 release will be GeoMedia Fusion, GeoMedia Transaction Manager, and GeoMedia 3D. The classic interface will still be available so that you can transition to the ribbon interface at your own pace. Improved Display Performance GeoMedia 2013 implements a client-side display cache. The cache will significantly improve data access and display time. In cases where feature records are large (more than 500,000 features), access time decreases from 1.5 minutes to a few seconds. Better Map Labeling with GeoLabel Pro from MapText GeoMedia 2013 features GeoLabel Pro functionality, enabling you to position labels better and more quickly. You can create static labels, or dynamic labels which quickly reposition as the user pans or zooms. Access Your ERDAS APOLLO Data Catalog from GeoMedia GeoMedia 2013 enables you to use the new ERDAS APOLLO catalog explorer to access raster and image files directly in the map window. Expanded Data Connection Support (SQL Server 2012 and SQL Azure) GeoMedia 2013 will be certified with SQL Server 2012. In addition, for those customers who want to move their database management to the cloud, GeoMedia 2013 will support SQL Azure. 7

Server GeoMedia WebMap GeoMedia WebMap is a fully-scalable server solution for building and deploying web services and websites. Using GeoMedia desktop as a publishing platform, it enables you to create high-performance web applications allowing real-time enterprise access and geospatial analysis. Supporting the most sophisticated GIS user, GeoMedia WebMap provides powerful linear referencing and analysis capabilities, including routing and dynamic segmentation web services. From easily creating web mapping applications, to providing sophisticated, web-based visualization and analysis that enables manipulation of your enterprise s valuable geographic information, GeoMedia WebMap complements a broad range of customers. GeoMedia WebMap is available in three product tiers with a unified, web-based administration console for configuring applications and services available in all three. GeoMedia WebMap client applications may be integrated with ERDAS APOLLO Essentials for rapid image delivery. GeoMedia WebMap Essentials enables you to set up a fully-scalable server solution in the form of web services or thin clients. This tier provides real-time enterprise data access, sophisticated geospatial analysis, and map generation. GeoMedia WebMap Advantage includes all the functionality in GeoMedia WebMap Essentials and is bundled with Geospatial Portal to enable advanced client-side functionality. GeoMedia WebMap Professional includes all the functionality in GeoMedia WebMap Advantage. In addition, it provides advanced linear analysis functions. New Administration Console A new web-based administration console enables you to create and configure all aspects of server-side engines, web services and web applications in one place. New WebMap Publisher Application Based on Geospatial Portal, the new application provides a service-oriented web client while still allowing you to use GeoMedia as your visual authoring environment. Serve Data with Amazing Performance (OGC WMTS) An OGC Web Map Tile Service (OGC WMTS) allows you to serve WMS data with amazing performance. This is supported by the new GeoMedia WebMap Publisher application that can consume and render WMTS data. All Web Services Meet OGC and INSPIRE Specifications Additionally, performance monitoring and logging is provided for these services Superior Image Delivery GeoMedia WebMap can be integrated with ERDAS APOLLO Essentials for rapid image delivery to client applications. Dynamically Generate Labels Dynamically generate labels with a powerful, fast, and sophisticated rules-based labeling system. Create Linear-Analysis Web Services in One Place (Professional only) 8

GeoMedia Smart Client GeoMedia Smart Client makes an organization progressive, enabling all users to seamlessly integrate geographic changes into customized workflows. End users are able to leverage advanced geospatial functionality via simple-to-use map-based tools, streamlining their processes and honing their expertise. These vibrant geospatial business workflows provide a level of sophistication not supported by legacy out-of-the-box horizontal software products. With GeoMedia Smart Client, workflow optimization and intuitive web editing becomes a reality embraced across the organization. GeoMedia Smart Client is available in three product tiers: GeoMedia Smart Client Essentials - Organizations can provide high-end vector redlining functionality plus support for an unlimited number of users. These users can display raster and vector maps, analyze and query data, print, and utilize measurement and dimensioning functions. Vector database support includes the ability to directly read Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Raster format support includes TIFF, GeoTIFF, JPG and PNG. Advanced client and server geo-caching is provided for both raster and vector data, ensuring high performance. GeoMedia Smart Client Advantage GeoMedia Smart Client Advantage provides all of the features and functionality of GeoMedia Smart Client Essentials, plus the ability to edit data and use predefined business process workflows. The additional Workflow Manager Runtime module enables you to run pre-built workflows, edit attributes, or capture and change spatial data on the web client and push the changes back to the server database (ORACLE or SQL Server 2008). GeoMedia Smart Client Professional - GeoMedia Smart Client Professional provides all of the features and functionality of GeoMedia Smart Client Advantage, as well as the Workflow Manager Editor module, enabling you to develop your own workflows or revise the structure, process and forms of current ones. Offline Attributive Data Capturing and Synchronization GeoMedia Smart Client 2013 enables you to define disconnected workflows that will enable your end users to capture and edit attributive and spatial data while offline from the internet. You can use the Workflow Manager to build offline workflows and create forms. A synchronization process enables GeoMedia Smart Client to post edits when the client reconnects. Project-based conflict handling can be added through the workflow definitions. ERDAS APOLLO Essentials Integration You can now deliver and display raster backdrops based on the ECWP streaming protocol, provided by ERDAS APOLLO Essentials. Customers covering large areas won t have to publish and update the raster backgrounds for different scale ranges anymore. It also substantially reduces the volume requirements of the client cache. Workflow Manager API Enhancements Additional API commands enable faster and more flexible workflow configuration. Support for Geographic Coordinates and Custom Coordinate Systems GeoMedia Smart Client 2013 includes direct support for geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) and custom coordinate systems in the primary database. For this feature, it supports both Oracle and SQL Server databases. Documentation and Cookbooks Geomedia Smart Client 2013 features improved documentation, plus new cookbooks that include examples for project setup, as well as workflow configurations for searching, capturing geometry, and integrating web services 9

ERDAS APOLLO ERDAS APOLLO is a comprehensive data management, analysis and delivery system that enables an organization to catalog, search, discover, process, and securely disseminate massive volumes of both file-based and web-enabled data. From a remarkably fast image server to a comprehensive system with the ability to dynamically edit data, perform analytics and extract information products, ERDAS APOLLO the most advanced geospatial enterprise solution; ensuring unprecedented performance even when handling the largest data archives. ERDAS APOLLO Essentials is an image delivery system providing the fastest image delivery possible over the web. It uses a variety of protocols, including the ultra-high-performance ECWP. It includes a preconfigured thin client. ERDAS APOLLO Advantage includes all the functionality of ERDAS APOLLO Essentials. In addition, it enables you to catalog and share massive amounts of geospatial and non-spatial data located throughout your enterprise. ERDAS APOLLO Advantage includes the Clip, Zip, and Ship capability through which your end users can download data from your catalog. ERDAS APOLLO Professional includes all the functionality of ERDAS APOLLO Advantage. In addition, it provides server-side geoprocessing of data from thin clients. Product Tier Simplification The functionality in ERDAS APOLLO Essentials-SDI has been integrated into ERDAS APOLLO Advantage. Customers who had ERDAS APOLLO Essentials-SDI will be upgraded to ERDAS APOLLO Advantage (Windows only). ERDAS APOLLO Essentials Image Web Server is now known simply as ERDAS APOLLO Essentials. Integrated Web Client (Advantage, Professional only) Geospatial Portal (formerly GeoMedia SDI Portal) can now be used to connect to ERDAS APOLLO to consume and view data and services, browse and search the catalog, download and clip datasets, and create value-added data products on-demand. Automatically Catalog Incoming Data (Advantage, Professional only) ERDAS APOLLO enables you to set up listeners on directories to automatically catalog incoming data of interest. Virtual Mosaicking You can now group datasets together, limit by scale, and portray potentially thousands of datasets as a single virtual mosaic layer. Clip, Zip and Ship LAS-Formatted Point Clouds (Advantage, Professional only) Clip, Zip and Ship LAS-formatted point cloud data (in whole or just a subset) using the out-of-the-box web client. Linux Support ERDAS APOLLO Essentials can now run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux v5.8 and v6.2+ (x64 only) and CentOS v5.8 and v6.2+ (x64 only) OpenStreetMap in the Data Manager (Advantage, Professional only) OpenStreetMap (a free, editable world map) is provided in the ERDAS APOLLO Data Manager, making it easier to see the global context of data and verify that it is correctly georeferenced. 10

Geospatial SDI Geospatial SDI is an interoperable and scalable spatial data infrastructure for cataloging and delivering enterprise geospatial data over the web. It is designed for data providers that need to manage and serve secure or licensed information using standards-based web services. The product adheres to OGC, INSPIRE and ISO standards for web services and metadata compliance, and can extend those offered in GeoMedia WebMap and ERDAS APOLLO to the full set of services required of SDI implementations. In addition to publishing services, Geospatial SDI provides tools for managing, monitoring and reporting of service performance. Repackaging Geospatial SDI, formerly GeoMedia SDI Pro, contains all of the functionality and features of the former product and includes additional new functionality described below. New Administration Console A new web-based administration console provides the means for creating and configuring all aspects of server side engines, web services and web applications in one place. Web service instances for any type of service can be created, configured and removed, including OGC and INSPIRE service metadata, and monitoring and logging capabilities. All Web Services Meet OGC and INSPIRE Specifications Performance monitoring and logging is provided for these services Performance and Stability Improvements Performance and stability improvements have been made for all of the provided services. Catalog Editor Catalog editing utility is now bundled with the product. Create, edit, and delete catalog metadata records with the catalog editor. 11

Geospatial Portal Demand for SDI has grown rapidly, driven by legislation that obliges public bodies to publish data for increased collaboration with partners and customers. Geospatial Portal is a web application that acts as a client for spatial data infrastructure (SDI) services.
