3 Intergraph Geospatial Portfolio 2014 Intergraph Geospatial 2014 builds upon the foundation introduced in 2013 of a united, modern, and dynamic portfolio, broadening the reach of our customers. This powerful release once again synchronizes and further integrates the technologies across product lines, honing in on the importance of strong analytical tools, the cost savings associated with managing big data, and the ubiquity of mobile. This document highlights the broad portfolio themes for this release, as well some of the exciting new features (and user benefits) within each product. Major themes of the 2014 release are outlined below. Later in this document, you will see how these themes apply to specific areas of individual products. Analytics: Create Customized Solutions Spatial Modeling Initiative: Create and build powerful data analysis once, repeat indefinitely. You can now work with point clouds and other specialized operators in the spatial modeler (in ERDAS IMAGINE ). Advanced Feature Model and Tracing Initiative: Model and define real world objects that depict complex relationships and behaviors. GeoMedia users can create and digitize new features or edit existing features while maintaining the integrity of the model. Esri Geodatabase Read/Write Initiative: Easily exchange Esri data across your geospatial enterprise. We have added Esri FGDB data (file geodatabase), overcoming.shp limitations access to our applications. Cloud: Big Data Management Vector Data Management Initiative: We have expanded the role of ERDAS APOLLO as the enterprise data catalog. You can now manage basic vector data in the Advantage and Professional tiers of this offering. Client-side Caching Initiative: In GeoMedia Smart Client, you can now easily convert datasets from the server side vector cache to raster output (.png or.jpg tiles). 64-bit Support Initiative: Take advantage of your 64 bit hardware investment with ERDAS IMAGINE and quickly solve many of your big data problems. Loading/performance improvements Mobile: Real-Time Updating & Reporting Intergraph Mobile MapWorks Initiative: See, edit, validate, and update your GIS from your mobile device in the field, in real time. Intergraph Mobile Alert Initiative: A mobile/cloud-based service that provides crowd-sourced incident information to subscribing organizations such as local governments or utilities. ERDAS ECW/JP2 SDK on Android, ios & WinCE devices Initiative: There is ongoing market demand from third-party developers for using our compression technology to solve mobile problems (solving storage constraints, delivering high performance image data). We are introducing a high-performing version of read capability to work on mobile devices. 3
4 Photogrammetry ImageStation The ImageStation software suite enables digital photogrammetry workflows, including project creation, orientation and triangulation, 3D feature collection and editing, digital terrain model (DTM) collection and editing, and orthophoto production using aerial and satellite imagery. ImageStation is specially designed for high-volume commercial photogrammetry and production mapping customers who need to move large quantities of raw spatial information to an actionable or exploitable format. New Features for 2014 Analytics Deeply exploit your data stores De-Haze/Dodging function Helpful for removing haze typically found in high altitude and oblique imagery, especially that acquired during the growing season. Also provides normalized radiometric responses which will input to future radiometric AT (block tone balancing) solution. Cloud Big data management and processing Shorten times to reformat large numbers of image files ImageStation Image Formatter provides access to Condor distributed processing pools that help maximize available computer resources and shorten processing times. Improvement in accuracy and performance of rectification Provides in-memory processing of rectification, dodge, and de-haze image processing steps to shorten project duration. This is first of two phases to reengineer the ortho production workflow to improve speed and flexibility. 36 Performance Deliver data lightning fast, with better quality Efficient delivery ECWP Version 3 is now a stateless protocol, enabling more efficient delivery and improved streaming performance. Enhanced quality and performance Image quality for ECW files is vastly improved, and the encoding and decoding performance for ECW and JPEG2000 files just got even better. 36
37 ECW for ArcGIS Server ECW for ArcGIS Server is an extension that provides compatibility with Intergraph's compressed Enhanced Compression Wavelet (ECW) imagery format, enabling you to serve ECW imagery from ArcGIS for Server through Esri-supported service interfaces. ECW technology is capable of quickly decompressing and opening massive files, in many cases faster than uncompressed imagery can be opened. With ECW support, ArcGIS for Server users can leverage the significant format advantages of ECW for high-performance image serving in an Esri environment. New Features for 2013 Cloud Accelerating big data deployments Faster, better data Support for ECW v3 means vastly improved ECW decoding performance and projection handling in Esri s ArcGIS for Server environment. Get up and running easily, and run anywhere ECW for ArcGIS Server was migrated to Intergraph Licensing, streamlining customer license generation and enabling cloud deployment support. 37
