FAQs BBA France- Admissions 1. Who can apply for the Loyola - IÉSEG Twinning Programme? Students who have secured a minimum 60% overall grade in their +2 board exams. Students who have completed their higher secondary through the following boards can apply: State Boards CBSE ICSE International Baccalaureate IGCSE CISCE 2. Are the courses in French or English? The medium of instruction will be in English. French language will also be simultaneously taught after the commencement of the course. 3. Who can apply for this programme? Students from all streams can apply for this course. A one week Bridge course in Financial Accounting, Mathematics and Economics will be conducted for all the fresher s enrolled in for the programme. 4. If I don t speak any French can I still apply? Yes! Non- Francophone students can apply for this programme. However, French will be a mandatory subject for all the students enrolled for the programme. Special coaching will be provided to the non francophone students.
5. What are the class timings? The timings of the classes are from 8.15 A.M. to 3.45 P.M. ( Monday Friday) 6. When and how do I apply for the programme? The BBA France applications will be available online from the 17 th of May 2016. Log on to www.loyolacollege.edu and click on BBA France admission 2016-2017 to fill up the online BBA France application. Fill in and submit the application online. If your higher secondary results are not released, apply with your pre board scores. 7. What is the deadline for submitting in the application forms? 4 th June 2016 8. What is the Admission Procedure? There will be an Entrance Exam and a Personal Interview for all the students who have applied for the BBA France Programme. A 50% pass in the entrance exam is required. Results: Intimation will be sent to all the selected students via email within one week after the completion of the entrance exam. 9. When will the Entrance Examination and the Personal Interview be held? 6 th June 2016 by 9 A.M. For Out Station candidates the personal interview will be conducted on the same day of the entrance exam. For Chennai candidates the Interview will be conducted on 7 th June 2016 by 9 A.M.
10. Do I have to take any additional tests/exams to go to France? All BBA France students are expected to clear their DELF A1 and DELF A2 level French Language Exams before they go for their 3rd year of study to France. IELTS with the minimum of score of 6.5 is also required. 11. What are the major subjects for the course? Financial Accounting I & II Financial Management I & II Micro & Macro Economics Econometrics Operations Management International Marketing Business & Management Civil & Business Law Business Mathematics I & II Business Statistics I & II Papers in Business English and French will be taught in all 4 semesters of study in Loyola College. 12. Can non-indian residents apply? Yes candidates from all parts of the world can apply for this programme. 13. Does Loyola College Provide Hostel Accommodation for BBA France students? Hostel accommodation is provided for non- residential students.
However hostel accommodation is not connected with the BBA France admissions. Parallel admission will be done for Hostel accommodation in the Loyola Campus, candidates will have to apply on a separate application for Hostel accommodations. BBA France admissions does not guarantee the Hostel Accommodation. 14. Does IÉSEG provide Hostel Accommodation for BBA France students in the 3 rd year? Students can apply for Hostel accommodation (Concordia) in IÉSEG for their 3 rd year of study. Private accommodation outside the IÉSEG campus works out to be inexpensive in Lille. 15. Is the programme recognized by the UGC? The BBA France twinning programme is a full time course offered by IÉSEG School of Management and IÉSEG is affiliated to the Catholic University of Lille (France). Since the degree is offered by IÉSEG (France), the UGC does not recognize this programme. However, students earning the degree through IÉSEG can apply for their Master s Degree in all Universities across the globe. Indian universities consider these degrees as Foreign Degrees. 16. What do the fees include? The tuition fee, for the 1 st and 2 nd year of study (4 Semesters) at Loyola College is as follows: Particulars Amount Fee to be paid in June 2016 Rs.70,000/- Fee to be paid in December 2016 Rs.70,000/ Fee to be paid in June 2017 Rs.70,000/ Fee to be paid in December 2017 Rs.70,000/
Total Rs.2,80,000/- The above mentioned fee is inclusive of the service tax. Fee mentioned above are subject to change. The total tuition fee for the 3 rd year at IÉSEG, with a 10 % discount, comes up to 9500. What is the accreditation Loyola College and for IÉSEG? Loyola College, Chennai: Loyola College has continued to remain, for the past 15 years, in the list of Top 10 Colleges in India ranked by the India Today Magazine. The NAAC has re-accredited the college with a 3.70 CGPA, the highest received by any college in South India. Loyola College is one of the very few colleges in India to be awarded the status of College of Excellence by the UGC. IESEG School of Management, Lille, France: IÉSEG is ranked 21 st in the world and 6 th in France for the Master s in Management by Financial Times ( 2014). IÉSEG obtained the prestigious EQUIS Accreditation in April 2012 and AACSB Accreditation in March 2013 being the only French business
school recruiting students from high school with this individual accreditation. 18. If I join this programme, can I be assured that I can go to France in the third year? The BBA France programme trains each and every student to excel in their academics. Students will be evaluated by the Loyola and IÉSEG team at the end of every academic year in order to be promoted to the next year. Student evaluation will be executed with the following criteria: a) Attendance Overall 75% b) Examinations c) Attitude If students are found to be below average on the above mentioned criteria, they will be asked to repeat the year/leave the programme. 19. Is there any Internship for this Programme? All 1 st year BBA France students are expected to take up a 3 week Summer Internship (General) during April May every year. All 2 nd year BBA France students are expected to take up a 3 week Summer Internship on Sales & Marketing during April May every year. 20. What is the Age Limit for taking this course? A Minimum of 17 Years of Age A Maximum of 21 Years of Age
