1 The MBA Downtown For the convenience of individuals who work in the central business district, the University of Detroit Mercy s College of Business Administration will offer its AACSB-accredited MBA program at the Law School Campus, 651East Jefferson Avenue, beginning in the Fall of Classes begin August 31. The following questions and answers provide you with needed information for admission, advising, registration, and other details to start your MBA at the University of Detroit Mercy. I. What are the admission criteria? Admission decisions are based on undergraduate grade-point average, GMAT or GRE score (if needed), work experience, other degrees and/or previous graduate work, and references.. The MBA Program is open to students of high promise who have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. No prior academic work in business is required. Admission decisions are based on undergraduate grade point average (GPA), work experience, post graduate studies, and recommendations, and GMAT or GRE (if needed). MBA admission materials include: 1. A University of Detroit Mercy Graduate Application Form, with the application fee (waived for online applications); 2. Official transcripts for all previous academic work; 3. An official report with the scores earned on the GMAT or GRE (if needed); 4. A resume; 5. A letter of recommendation; and 6. Any other information which the applicant feels is important to the admission decision. II. Do I need to take the GMAT? 1. Was your undergraduate grade point average 3.0 or above? 2. Do you have 7 or more years of professional experience? 3. Have you already earned a graduate or professional degree? If you can answer YES to at least two of these questions, then you have an excellent chance to gain admission to the MBA program at the University of Detroit Mercy without taking the GMAT. Otherwise, you should plan to submit official scores from either the Graduate

2 Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Record Exam (GRE). As noted below, those who take the GMAT may be eligible for a scholarship. III. Is financial aid available? 600+ GMAT Scholarship Scholarships are available for those who score 600 or higher on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). The 600+ GMAT Scholarship reduces tuition by half. VendorTuition Discount Current full-time employees and their spouses of primary vendor companies of University of Detroit Mercy are eligible for a 25% tuition discount. This discount may not be combined with any other UDM scholarship, grant, tuition remission, or discount. Professional students in the Law and Dental programs are not eligible. Financial Aid Federal and State Financial Aid Programs are available for qualified candidates. What courses do I need to take? Degree Requirements Students are required to take 12 courses in the program: 9 core courses and 3 electives. Students who enter the program without undergraduate business courses may be required to take foundation courses as prerequisites. Course Curriculum Foundation Courses Students who enter the program without undergraduate business courses will be advised about the necessary foundation courses they are required to take prior to taking the core classes.

IX. Is food available at the Law School Riverfront Campus? The cafeteria serves both cold and hot menu items until 6:00 p.m. Need to meet with your teammates, grab a meal at the Law School and discuss X. Is parking available? Permit parking will be available either at the Church Christ Parking Lot or at the Law School Riverfront Campus Parking Lot. For many students in The MBA Downtown program, a short walk of several blocks is all that is required to reach campus. For other students, the People Mover is another option around the downtown area.
