Course Description: An intensive one-day AHA course designed to provide those who care for the pediatric critically ill patient the knowledge base necessary for teaching PALS. All course participants will teach stations during this course and successfully evaluate & remediate other instructor candidates using the appropriate checklists. Instructor cards will be issued after a successful monitoring in the first course taught following the instructor course. In order to maintain instructor status, all instructors must teach a minimum of 2 courses a year, include a successful monitoring every 2 years, and maintain Provider status. Target Audience: Registered Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists, Paramedics, and Physician Assistants who are knowledgeable and proficient in PALS according to the standards of the American Heart Association.
