DESCRIPTION: Assists in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities occurring at the nursing station by performing clerical and receptionist duties. Maintains the physical environment of the nursing station. Facilitates the function of the unit. 2 **LUFKIN** JOB TITLE: PATIENT CARE TECH / CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE SHIFT: Days 7a-7p or Nights 7p-7a DEPARTMENT: Memorial Specialty Hospital (flexible shifts) & Med/Surge QUALIFICATIONS: High school plus additional courses or specialized training at business or community college or other formal training facility or program. Direct patient care experience required. Nurse Aide/EMT certificate, state skilled certification required and/or nursing students having proof of completion of 1 clinical semester, or have experience as a nurse aide or medical assistant. Must successfully pass Patient Care Technician competency test. Have ability for effective written and oral communication. Must be able to understand and carry out assigned duties effectively. Knowledge needed such as office duties, elementary accounting procedures, operation of more advanced office machines such as desk top computer and standard software such as word processing and/or spreadsheets. DESCRIPTION: Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs, comfort, safety and emergency measures; ADL, personal care needs; nutrition; fluid and elimination needs. Graduate of an accredited surgical technician program or licensed as a Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse experience required. DESCRIPTION: The Certified Surgical Technician or LVN Scrub nurse performs duties at the direction of the Registered Nurse and from the Surgeon during the operative procedures. Practices within guidelines of A.O.R.N. standards under the direction of the OR Director. Must be a High School HOSA student. Must be able to spend long periods of time walking and standing. Must possess excellent filing an handwriting skills. EKG HOSA are the regular staff scheduled for weekends, evenings and holidays. DESCRIPTION: Under the Direction of RC Management and upon the request of the physician, performs EKG testing and handles all charting and filing. Main duties should be considered to be completing filing. 5 **RESPIRATORY** JOB TITLE: RESPIRATORY THERAPIST SHIFT: PRN DEPARTMENT: RESPIRATORY CARE LOCATION: LUFKIN QUALIFICATIONS: High school plus additional education up to 2 years of college which requires knowledge of a specialized field or may lead to licensure or certification (data processing, accounting, health care) such as vocational or registered nurse, x-ray tech, respiratory tech, bookkeeper. Must have a current Texas Department of health Temporary Permit or a valid final RCP license. Must have experience with using computers for sending and receiving Drs. Orders and other communications. Must have excellent clerical skills. Must acquire within 6 months of hire BLS, CPR Instructor Status and be available to teach at a moments notice. Must acquire within 6 months of hire ACLS provider status and maintain throughout employ. Must be able to function in a team work environment. Should be willing and eager to learn new things that will improve the care of the customers. DESCRIPTION: Under the Direction of the R.T. Management Chain of Command including the Medical Director for R.T. and at a Physician s request, performs all modalities proven to be currently competent. 6 **SAN AUGUSTINE** JOB TITLE: RN SHIFT: 6PM 6AM LOCATIONS: SAN AUGUSTINE QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing. The program must include didactic and a minimum of 2 semesters of clinical practice. Must be currently licensed to practice nursing in the state of Texas or possess a current interim permit from the board of nurse examiners for the state of Texas. DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the delivery of quality care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for the Med/Surge/ED. Patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Serves in the resource nurse role when oriented and as directed. Supports the organization vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient s age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care POSTING DATE: JOB TITLE: STAFF TECH I SHIFT: FT NIGHTS DEPARTMENT: IMAGING LOCATION: SAN AUGUSTINE QUALIFICATIONS: High school, plus additional education, up to 2 years of college which requires knowledge of a specialized field or may lead to licensure or certification (data processing, accounting, health care) such as vocational or registered nurse, s-ray tech, respiratory tech, bookkeeper. Must also b a graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology, and eligible for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the state of Texas. Must successfully pass ARRT certification exam within one year of graduation from the radiology technology program.
