Instructions to connect to GRCC Remote Access using a Macintosh computer 1. Install client: Download and install the Citrix ICA Client for Mac. 2. Import certificates: Download the current GlobalSign root and intermediate certificates, import them into the system keychain and into the Citrix ICA Keystore. 3. Trust certificates: Find the newly imported certificates in the Keychain Access utility and explicitly trust them. 4. Copy certificates: Copy the GS_Intermediate.crt and GS_Root.crt certificates into the Citrix ICA Client s cacerts folder; creating the folder structure if necessary. 5. Login to remote access: Browse to remote.greenriver.edu and login using your employee credentials. After authenticating, launch the icon labeled GRCC Remote Desktop. Install client 1. Download and run the Citrix client for Mac installation file from the following link: For OS X clients running 10.7 (Lion) and earlier http://remote.greenriver.edu/v10.macica_osx.dmg.zip Note: The first time you double-click the file, it will extract the DMG file. Then double-click the DMG file to open the install wizard. For OS X clients running 10.8 (Mountain Lion) screenshots and detailed instructions will be added soon http://remote.greenriver.edu/citrix/xenapp/clients/mac/citrixreceiver_mac_108.dmg 2. Select Continue at the Introduction screen.

3. Select Continue at the license screen Install client (continued) 4. A screen will appear asking you to agree to the license terms. Read the license agreement if you wish and select Agree to continue. 5. The next screen allows you to change the install location if you have additional hard drives. By default it will select your main hard drive which is likely where you want to install. Click install to continue.

6. A screen may appear asking for your username and password. Your username should already be filled in, type in your password and select OK to continue.

Install client (continued) 7. You should receive a Summary screen showing that the install has completed successfully. Import Certificates 1. Download and unzip the SSL certificates from the following link: http://remote.greenriver.edu/ssl_certs/gs_certs.zip Result: You will have four certificates, for this portion of the process we will only be using the two labeled GS_Intermedia.cer, and GS_Root.cer.

2. Double-click the certificate labeled GS_Intermediate.cer. 3. A screen will appear asking if you d like to add the certificate to a keychain. Select the System Keychain from the drop down list and click OK to continue. Import certificates (continued) 4. A password prompt may appear, enter your password and click OK to continue. 5. Repeat steps 2 4, using the certificate labeled GS_Root.cer. 6. The certificates are now imported into the Keychain Access utility. Trust certificates 1. Return to the Keychain Access utility. If it has been closed since the previous steps, it can be found under Applications > Utilities >Keychain Access on your Mac hard drive, or from the Finder utility. 2. Find one of the newly imported certificates in the Keychain Access utility. It should be labeled GlobalSign Organization Validation CA, double-click the certificate and click the little gray arrow next to the work Trust to expand the screen: (you may have to scroll down to see this)

3. Select Always Trust and then close the certificate using the red close button in the title bar. You may be prompted for your password, enter it and click OK to continue. 4. Repeat steps 2-6 to import the certificate labeled GS_Root.cer. Note that Once imported, this certificate will appear in Keychain Access with the name GlobalSign Root CA. Copy certificates 1. Copy the remaining two certificates that are labeled GS_Root.crt and GS_Intermediate.crt into the cacerts folder located in the following location: Applications >Citrix ICA Client> Keystore >cacerts

2. If the cacerts folder didn t get created by the installation of the Citrix client, the folder structure must be manually created. In order for the Citrix client to properly connect the certificates must be in both the cacerts folder and in the Keychain Access utility (which we verified earlier). Use the following steps to create the structure if missing: a. Browse to the Citrix ICA Client folder: b. Right-click (or control-click) and select New Folder c. Name the folder Keystore and then enter the folder d. Create another new folder within the Keystore folder, this time naming it cacerts. e. Now you should be able to copy the certificates labeled; GS_Intermediate.crt & GS_Root.crt to the cacerts folder. Applications >Citrix ICA Client> Keystore >cacerts

Login to remote access 1. Browse to remote.greenriver.edu. It will redirect you to a longer URL, please do not short-cut this longer URL as it may change with updates to the web interface. The only path you can safely shortcut is https://remote.greenriver.edu or http://remote.greenriver.edu. Both redirect to the current remote access login page. Enter your employee credentials and click Login. 2. Click the icon labeled GRCC Remote Desktop. ; 3. The connection process will begin and you should see a remote desktop within a minute.
