TRAINING ON RESULT BASED PROJECT MANAGEMENT This Training is being organized by Sahbhagi Shikshan Trust which This Training is being organized by Sahbhagi Shikshan Trust which covers Project planning process, problem tree analysis, setting objectives & identification of objective hierarchy. It also covers frame work for writing project proposal & project intervention strategy, project monitoring, evaluation & reporting system. Results-based Project management (RBM) is a management strategy which uses feedback loops to achieve strategic goals. All people and organizations (actors) who contribute directly or indirectly to the result, map out their business processes, products and services, showing how they contribute to the outcome. This outcome may be a physical output, a change, an impact or a contribution to a higher level goal. Information (evidence) of the actual results is used for accountability, reporting and to feedback into the design, resourcing and delivery of projects and operational activities. Results Based Project Management is an example of a strategic control mechanism. RBM is seen as a life-cycle approach starting with elements of planning, such as setting the Vision and defining the results frame work. Once it is agreed to pursue a set of results through a programs, APPLICATION FORM FOR TOT implementation starts and monitoring becomes an essential task to ensure results are being achieved. Finally, monitoring and evaluation provide in valuable information for decisionmaking and lessons learned for the future. RBM has been most used in the planning phase by organizations for their strategic frame works, programs and projects. A number of tools are used in the planning phase: results matrix, monitoring and evaluation plan, and risk mitigation strategy. In order to achieve the above outcomes the following contents shall be dealt with during the training program: Understanding Result based Project management in development context Understanding of RBM principals Meaning and importance of stakeholders in RBM Understanding of RBM definition types uncooperative differences Step of RBM understanding of Logical Framework Analysis Understanding of MIS its principals, importance in RBM context. Participants The training is appropriate for middle level functionaries/facilitators of CSOs and community organizations, who are mainly involved in program / project planning, implementation and management. Note: Please, note that this is very intense process based training program and hence participants should be selected very carefully. Please, ensure that the person must have spent 2-3 years time in development programs/community level processes/training. Methodology The training program shall be conducted in a participatory manner, in which participants are involved in mutual learning and sharing process. The sessions are made highly interactive so that it is easy for the participants to grasp the subject. Emphasis is laid on making learn facilitate participatory training sessions.

Focus is placed on using methods of adult learning such as small group discussion, case study, role-plays, simulations, use of power point, Video Films, video reviews, etc. Participatory learning games and energizers are used to create a conducive environment for learning. Language Considering the background and participant s profile this training program is conducted essentially in Hindi. However, technical terms are dealt with in English also. Total seat: 30 Course Fee: The fee for the training program is Rs. 10,000.00 per person that includes tuition fee, cost of learning materials, stationary, staying, food charges, transportation and service tax payable to the government and other training expenses. Please note that the whole training arrangement is made for only 5 days any extra arrangement and stay shall be charged separately. The participants shall be provided with 7 sets of TOT manuals, Songs book, Learning instrument book, Bag with necessary stationeries, different exercises specially developed for trainers. Participants shall also be provided with a TOOLKIT FOR TRAINERS handbook. Access to 24 hours free internet facility for the participants & Trainers. Access to library of SSK. The Above mentioned rates are inclusive of all taxes. HOW TO REACH: From Charbagh Railway Station to SSK is around 16 km. From railway station you can hired a prepaid taxi and ask to go Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra. SSK is one of the prepaid destination. From Airport (Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport) to SSK is around 25.5 Km. from Airport, local Taxis can be hired to reach SSK. [The Landmark of SSK is Sewa Hospital and Police Fire Station. SSK is situated just behind the Police Fire Station, near Chatta Meel Chauraha.] If you are traveling by Road to SSK. Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra is situated on Sitapur Road. Lucknow is on important National Highways 24, 25 and 28 running east, west and south respectively. It is well connected by road with major cities like Agra (350 km), Allahabad (225 km), Kolkata (985 km), Delhi (497 km).

FACILITATORS OF THIS TRAINING ASHOK BHAI Ashok Bhai is the Founder Director of Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra (SSK), a state-level support organization for UP, Bihar and Jharkhand. He has provided consultancy and advisory support to various NGOs and Government functionaries through trainings & having an experience of more than 35 years as a facilitator. SHILPI JI Ms. Shilpi Agarwal is the Founding Director of Sakar, Social Action for Knowledge Building and Awareness Raising. Ms. Agarwal has conducted several Trainings on Micro finance, Mobilization & organization for empowerment, Gender issues, Project Management, Participatory Training Methodology etc and specializes in the same. She has an experience of 12 years in this field. Mukta Ji Ms. Mukta Mohini is a commerce graduate from Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. She pursued post-graduation in social work from Delhi University and has been working on issues related to children and vocational training amongst youth. She has been involved with project implementation, monitoring, evaluation and planning for the past five years. During the course of her career she also undertook few trainings on documentation, fund raising and project management.
