In Pingstkyrkan's dance hall) How does one "dance a book"? Is that really possible? Start by imagining a red backpack stuffed with a book, a yellow watering can and other props, plus a CD with specially written music and a methodological guide book. The material is based on Anna Clara Tidholm's popular book for pre-school children and is produced in collaboration with Fölets pre-school in Edsbyn. Choreographer Sophia Färlin- Månsson leads the lecture and workshop with practical exercises. B. Language development through aesthetic forms of expression What can children teach us? Musikskolans biorum (The Music School's theatre) Reading comprehension is decreasing in children and young people, and there is a need for new methods to help awaken a desire for reading and story telling. Litteraturhuset in Sandviken, Gävleborg, focuses on language stimulation via aesthetic forms of expression. The starting point is to see it from a child's perspective. How can we as adults see "signs of learning" in children? How can we guide them and what can we learn from their spontaneous, natural quest for knowledge? The seminar is led by Fredrik Lindstrand, associate professor in didactics, Högskolan in Gävle, and Karin Forsgren Anderung, project manager at Litteraturhuset för barn och unga in Sandviken as well as in the entire region. C. Vi slår på trummor inte på varann! Bibliotekets hörsal (Library auditorium) (We hit drums not each other!) We are now seeing results from the project "Vi slår på trummor inte på varann!" which is taking place in Segevångsskolan in Malmö. It clearly shows that students felt more alert, happier, calmer and more relaxed when playing the drums. The students' grades have even improved considerably in all subjects. Project manager Anna-Carin Fogelqvist from "Musik i Syd" explains how the successful project changed the whole school and became news in the entire country. D. Vänligen rör konstverket! Bibliotekets hörsal (Please touch the art!) Johan Anderung, art consultant and Annica Ferner, image educator, present a Laser graffiti installation and a multifaceted piece of art called "The Night of the Hunter" created by Jonas Kjellgren. It is simultaneously a collection of sculptures, a game, an animation-filled box. Last but not least, this original work of art sparks your creative imagination. Laser graffiti is an fleeting form of graffiti made possible with the use of a laptop computer, a video camera, a projector, a laser pointer and simple software. The experience is like painting with light for instance on the wall of a building. G. Creative writing - Röda Kvarn Please note that this lecture is held in English. Is it possible to improve the skills of a young writer in school or in an academic environment? What is the importance of a resident writer or of a visiting writer in touch with the students on a daily basis as an ideal guide for the development of their literary capabilities? The myth of inspiration and of spontaneous creativity raised in the Romantic period are still valid today, after more than a century of psychoanalytical and pedagogical knowledge.
