Update from Nurse Crawford. In 2015-2016 school year, all students entering seventh grade must receive (or have received) a Tdap vaccine in order to attend school. The Tdap

vaccine protects students from tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough (pertussis). This vaccine is routinely recommended to be given at 11-12 years of age; however, if Tdap vaccine is needed at an earlier age, a dose received on or after the seventh birthday will meet this requirement. You must provide proof to your child s school on a South Carolina Certificate of Immunization form. Please avoid the last-minute rush. Make an appointment with your rising seventh grader s healthcare provider today to get the newly required Tdap vaccine, along with other vaccines that are recommended for your child s protection. BETA Club Update: Please email Mrs. Lancaster at lancasterj@anderson1.k12.sc.us if you have any questions. Meeting this Monday at 3pm in the auditorium. Yearbook Information: Orders will be handled the same way as last year. Parents please go ahead and place your order now because the price of the yearbook will increase closer to distribution date in May!
