Programme Saturday Arrival at the Agriturismo and check in, welcome of our Guests and assignation of the bedrooms. 6 7 p.m.: meeting with the Guests and the Staff of Lingua Più, for general information and explanation of the language course and excursions programme. Distribution of tourist brochures regarding the excursions from Monday to Friday 9 12.30 a.m.: Italian lessons at the agriturismo (grammar, vision of films, listening comprehension with cassettes and cds, reading comprehension with newspapers articles and books, guided conversation, informal seminars etc.) 10.30-11 a.m. : coffee break 15.00 p.m.: departure for the excursions (if programmed) Friday before departure 9.00-13.00 a.m.: Individual interview with the teacher (about 20 minutes each) in order to assess the level of Italian reached after the course and issue of the Attestato di Frequenza (Frequency Certificate) Saturday 12 p.m.: check out
Programme of excursions Lake Trasimeno Departure from the agriturismo with a bus for the Lake Trasimeno. It is the fourth largest lake in Italy. The name comes from the legend of Trasimeno, son of Tirreno, King of Lidia. The young man came to the lake on a hunting trip, here he met and fell in love with the lake nymph, Agilla. They got married and the prince followed her into the lake. Since then the lake has been called Lake Trasimeno. Furthermore on its shores you can enjoy the view of Magione, Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Castiglione del Lago, up to Città della Pieve, famous for being the native town of the painter Pietro Vannucci, Il Perugino. Return to the agriturismo at about 7 p.m. or dinner at a restaurant (not included in the price) Perugia tour Art and shopping Departure for Perugia and its important monuments: Corso Vannucci, the main walk always crowded with people. At the end of Corso Vannucci, there is Piazza Quattro Novembre where you can visit the Duomo. At the centre of the Piazza there is the ancient Fontana Maggiore. On the opposite side of the Piazza there is the monumental Palazzo dei Priori inside which there is the Sala dei Notari with its wonderful frescos. Assisi Culture and Religion Departure for Assisi, one of the most famous towns in the world with its important churches and monuments (the Benedictine church of Saint Peter s, the basilica of Saint Francis where are the remains of the Saint with the font and the Pinacoteca Comunale Municipal Picture Gallery). Return to the agriturismo at about 7 p.m. or dinner at a restaurant in Assisi or outskirts (not included in the price). Cooking Course This course will teach the students to prepare the most common Italian recipes. They will learn the secrets of sauces, pasta, soups and the preparation of meat and desserts. They will be able to distinguish and choose the appropriate ingredients, learn the necessary vocabulary and above all understand the menu in restaurants. After the presentation and analysis of the menu, the students with the teacher's help, will prepare the dishes and enjoy the food at the end of the lesson in a pleasant and cordial atmosphere. Cortona The Etruscan Civilisation Departure for Cortona, an Etruscan town on a high hill in Tuscany, between Arezzo and Perugia. It offers a wonderful view of the wide plain of Valdichiana, of the surrounding hills and valleys. The famous walls built by the Etruscan on the V century B.C. are still visible on the base of the present walls. Return to the agrturismo at about 7 p.m. or dinner at a restaurant in Cortona or outskirts (not included in the price). The Agriturismo Fonte di Montebuono Olive Tree, Chestnut Tree, Mulberry Tree and the Laurel Tree are the names of some of the 11 apartments available for our Guests: they can accommodate from two to seven people. Each apartment is completely independent and has a furnished kitchen with kitchenette, oven, refrigerator, fireplace, bathroom, air conditioning, TV, telephone and internet, safe.. The 20 th -century style furnishing is carefully made, all in solid wood and manufactured by local artisans. At our Guests disposal: - a large outdoor swimming pool - mountain bikes - barbecue and outdoor equipments Linen included, laundry service weekly, available also a laundry area. The Guests will have the possibility to taste and buy the extra virgin olive oil DOP, produced with the 3000 olive trees surrounding the agriturismo, according to far-off traditions.
