Students may take advantage of transportation provided by the York County School Division (see page 11). Our structured environment includes a mentor who is an experienced teacher and is assigned to work with, and monitor progress and participation of the online students in the computer lab. The mentor can help students navigate the Learning Management System, Moodle, and help students communicate with their online teachers. Students work each day, Monday through Thursday to complete required assignments in their virtual courses in the lab at the Summer Academy location. Students will be required to complete assignments for Friday of each week from home. Blackboard Collaborate sessions scheduled by the online teacher during lab times are required and will be posted weekly. Attendance is required Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Students will continue their coursework at home on Friday. Students are required to login daily to complete coursework.
