Program Brochure 2013 Dream Together Master Program operated by Global Sport Management Graduate Program Seoul National University September 2013 May 2015 Seoul, Korea funded by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Republic of Korea (MCST) Korea Foundation for the Next Generation Sports Talent (NEST) and in cooperation with Korean Olympic Committee (KOC) 1

Background Among many countries in the world, majority of them do not fully enjoy the value of sport. Korea is a country of the unique example whose status has changed from an aidrecipient country to a donor country, and now became a leading power in sport; Korea is striving to contribute to sport development in other countries and thereby their state development, and further contribute to global sport development and world peace. We believe that the future of the sport sector in each country rests on the leadership of the people in the field. Hence, as a way of returning the benefits Korea has received from the international community, the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, through the Korea Foundation for the Next Generation Sports Talent (NEST), began the Dream Together Master Program to educate next generation sport administrators in the developing countries to meet their needs of systematic development in the sport sector,. Dream Together Master Program The Dream Together Master Program aims to develop next generation sport administrators in the world, particularly, developing countries and Korea. It is also intended to consolidate international sport cooperation via global networking. SNU offers its students outstanding cultural and recreational opportunities, and as the university is located in the global city of Seoul, students would have a wide variety of additional entertainment options available in the city. City of Seoul The Seoul, the capital of Republic of Korea, is a safe, exciting, and attractive city, packed with countless sights to see and places to visit from traditional royal palaces to trendy shopping districts. The Seoul metropolitan area contains four UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Changdeok Palace and the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty. As a birthplace of K-pop and Korean Wave, Seoul has been voted as one of the most popular destinations by Asian tourists.
