Section 1. Purpose of this Study Guide This study guide is designed to help you evaluate if you are ready to successfully complete the Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist exam. This guide provides information about the target audience for the certification exam, recommended training and documentation, and a complete list of exam objectives all with the intent of helping you achieve a passing score. Salesforce highly recommends a combination of on-the-job experience, course attendance, and self-study to maximize your chances of passing the exam. Section 2. About the Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist Credential The Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist credential is designed for individuals who want to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and experience in the social landscape, components of Social Studio, including post creation, management and analysis of conversations, and reporting. Section 3. Audience Description: Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist The Marketing Cloud Social Specialist credential is intended for individuals who want to demonstrate experience using the Social Studio application in social media workflows. They know how to build strategic social media processes, incorporating different tools like Publish, Engage, and Analyze, and can use reports to make data-driven decisions. The Marketing Cloud Social Specialist is also able to troubleshoot and solve basic platform issues. The Marketing Cloud Social Specialist generally has six months to a year of experience utilizing Social Studio. The Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist candidate has the experience, skills, and knowledge outlined below: Has an awareness of social media terminology and best practices. Has the ability to utilize all capabilities of Social Studio. Has the ability to design workflows to support business processes and reporting requirements. A candidate for this exam is not expected to know Service Cloud, Social Hub, or Premier and Custom Apps. Section 4. About the Beta Exam The Beta exam will contain the same number of exam questions as most standard Salesforce exams. Beta test takers will not receive exam results immediately. Beta exam results will be sent in late September 2015. If a candidate successfully completes the Beta exam, they will earn the full Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist credential once results are released.

The Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist multiple-choice exam has the following characteristics: Content: 60 multiple-choice/multiple-select questions. Time allotted to complete the exam: 90 minutes. Delivery options: Proctored exam delivered onsite at a testing center or in an online proctored environment. References: No hard-copy or online materials may be referenced during the exam. Prerequisites: None required; Social Studio (SS101) attendance highly recommended. Section 5. Recommended Training and References As preparation for this exam, Salesforce Training and Certification recommends a combination of: handson experience using the Marketing Cloud Social Studio; training course completion; and self-study in the areas listed in the Exam Outline section of this study guide. Salesforce Training and Certification recommends the following book and instructor-led and online courses to guide your study: Instructor-led course: Social Studio (SS101) Help & Training and 3Sixty On-Demand Social Studio-related courses Enroll in instructor-led courses and launch online training from your Salesforce application by clicking the Help & Training link in the upper right corner of the screen (requires login) and searching for the desired courses, listed above. Marketing Cloud customers can link to Documentation, 3Sixty, and Salesforce Help & Training under Welcome in the upper right corner of the screen in their Marketing Cloud account (requires login). Exam Outline The Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist exam measures a candidate s knowledge and skills related to the objectives listed below. A candidate should have hands-on experience with Social Studio and demonstrate the knowledge and use of each of the features/functions below. Objective Social Media Best Practices 3% Describe the organization s governance model in support of Social. Distinguish appropriate content for target audience. Social Studio Overview 7% Describe how Social Studio benefits social media campaigns. Explain how each Social Studio tool can help achieve social goals. Administration 18% Explain how to create users at the Tenant level. Explain how to integrate social accounts. Define user roles and establish assignment based on organizational position. Describe how to create workspaces by adding users (assign permissions), social accounts, and Weighting

Objective Weighting topic profiles. Determine general organizational settings. Explain how to Specialist Social Studio account with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Publish 25% Describe the collaboration aspect of the calendar. Explain how to create a post in and describe the nuances of each social channel. Explain how to create Publish Macros. Determine deployment parameters for an immediate or scheduled publish. Describe how to manage posts within the Post Details Panel. Describe how shared content works. Explain how to create Approval Rules. Engage 20% Given a scenario, explain how to create and rename a Tab. Given a scenario, explain how to create and manage a Column. Reporting 7% Explain how to optimally utilize reporting within Publish. Identify top-level reports via the Performance tab. Section 7. Maintaining a Certification Successful completion of online, release-specific Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist exams is required to maintain this credential. Release exams are published once per year. The initial cost of the certification includes the Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Social Specialist exam plus one online release exam. In subsequent years, a maintenance fee of $100 will be charged when registering for every release exam, to keep the certification current for the following year. The maintenance fee includes the maintenance exam and access to the supporting training material. Salesforce Certified professionals will be notified automatically when new release training material and exams become available.
