Starting 15 November 2013, JACKS BS SINGAPORE will be exporting selective products to India for the first time. These quality products will be available in retail outlets, dentistry affiliated shops and clinics. JACKS BS SINGAPORE has been investigating opportunities in the Indian market for some time. In March 2013, seeking a step into the huge Indian market, they participated in the Cool Japan Festival 2013, India s biggest Japan Festival, in Mumbai, and were very pleased with the reaction of the increasingly affluent Indian consumer to products Made in Japan as well as Made By Japan (products which are manufactured in Asia in factories that have the highest level of Japanese quality control procedures in place). Their products fall under two broad categories, namely the Interdental Brushes and Ablue Toothbrushes range and will be exported from Japan and Thailand to India for the first time. Commenting on the launch, Mr. Wakita of JACKS BS SINGAPORE commented, We have been adopting opinions from experts positively so as to make our products reliable in their functions. Since DENTALPRO started overseas business, we have put our focus on the East and South-East Asia. Currently, our main businesses are in Korea, China and Taiwan. The strategies of business in other countries are different from Japan, therefore we had encountered many difficulties when we first started off regionally. However during the initial years, we have cooperated and developed different customized
approaches together with our distributors for each individual market. Now the relationship with our current distributors and business are doing well because we are able to conquer difficulties together. Before the launch of our Regional Sales Office (JACKS BS SINGAPORE) in Singapore 2009, we have long considered approaching India market in Japan, but we were unable to do so due to many restrictions and our inexperience of foreign territories strategies, therefore we still keep our main focus in South-east Asia. After 2 years of our research since 2011, the evidences and responses made us realized and concluded that we should get into India market and especially so after our exhibit during Cool Japan Festival in 2013. We felt that India has a lot of potential for growth because of her vast population, however due to the implications of importation and price competition in India, that had caused us the delay and uncertainties in entering the market. During our Introduction Exhibition in Mumbai during Cool Japan Festival 2013, 90% of the products which we brought in were sold during this period and were widely accepted by all, based on the comments and feedbacks received from the consumers. Many were surprised at the quality of our products showcased during the event and were looking forward to the launch of DENTALPRO/Ablue. This result provided us the big confidence and decision to make up our mind to decide to enter into the India market. During our market research, we seldom saw other Japanese products in the market, probably due to the obstacles mentioned earlier. This would definitely be the biggest chance and opportunity for us to be No1 Oral Care brand from Japan in India. During the past 1 year, we had discussed and cleared many uncertainties and issues on importations and pricing with maidoindia. We think "Now" is the time to enter into India market and move DENTALPRO/Ablue to the next milestone in India, which is most exciting for us.
