Since its debut in 2002, Music China has earned its reputation as the important platform of gathering upstream and downstream enterprises, media and user. Focusing on the industry-leading technology and the market cutting-edge information, Music China has gradually become the influential worldwide event in music culture industry. 一 About Music China Having been through the decline of both musical instrument imports and exports in 2013, the market began to recover in the first half of this year. However, due to sluggish demand in overseas markets, the situation of musical instrument

industry in 2014 is still grim. To enhance the confidence of domestic and overseas exhibitors, on the one hand the organizers strengthened the intensity and extent of overseas publicity through various channels, and on the other hand the organizers explored the domestic music education market actively to drive forward the consumer market. With 98,000 square meters, Music China 2014 is the largest-ever show, which has brought us 1,775 exhibitors from 29 countries and regions, a 5.65% growth to last year. 11 international pavilions joined the show, ranging from Belgium, Czech, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, UK and Taiwan region. Pearl River, Dunhuang, Xsinghai, Fengling, Hailun, AXL, Jinbao, Parsons, Jinyin, Erica, Medeli, Sihui Huasheng, Yuehai, Ringway, KHS, Kapok, Yamaha, Casio, Steinway, Roland, Samick and many other famous music brands and suppliers showcased their newest and finest products during the exhibition. It is worth mentioning that the organizers first set up music education show area to focus on the music training and popularity. As a major highlight of Music China, this year Yamaha, Roland, Zhou Guangren Piano Center, Harmony and other famous institution attended this area. Through booth displaying, public classes and stage performances, different styles of music education mode are presented. Music China 2014 attracted 71,591 visitors from 86 countries and regions, including 35, 76 overseas visitors. Through years of continuous overseas promotion, the visitors from aboard increased by 5% compared with last year under an undesirable economy situation. The exhibitors were also happy to see the increased number of trade visitors from retailers, dealers, distributors, agents, musicians and educators. Through 12 years of development, Music China has become one of the most influential music shows in the world and has built a good communication platform for Chinese and foreign exhibitors. Music China is an important sourcing ground offering a broad product mix encompassing both western and traditional Chinese instruments. It is the first choice for domestic exhibitor to get touch with overseas

buyers and also the best choice for international brand to reach Asia market. Visitors Statistics 92% of the whole exhibitors were satisfied with the on-site order. 94% of them established the new business relations. 96% of the them were satisfied with the audience quality. 91% of them were satisfied with the number of the visitors. Meanwhile, because of efficient market mining of potential education market in recent years, the proportion of visitors from music college/training school reaches to 32%. This year, the exhibition first set up music education show area to expand the connotation and help to find new business opportunities for exhibitors. the NAMM CMIA Industry forum provided the most cutting-edge market information for practitioners, which was very popular among dealers and retailers. How to sessions This year, 2000 attendees were recorded at 8 How to sessions. Speakers from tier cities and small to medium sized cities shared their management and development experiences. The content focused on sales, branding, the use of new media and other topics. MIDI and piano technicians technology seminar The technology experts from Google, Yamaha and other companies of MIDI technology seminar introduced the cutting-edge application of MIDI in the world. Training course for senior piano technicians set up high quality business training and on-site demonstration courses. Global Forum on Chinese Traditional Music Master Classes taking demonstrating and propagating traditional music as the goal, gathering famous musicians, such as Wang Zhongshan, Feng Mantian, to show the audience the spirit the traditional Chinese music. Nearly 1000 attendees joined the program this year. Violin-making Master Workshop Top Violin-making Masters from China and Italy, including Mr. Zheng Quan, Mr. Hua Tinareng, and Mr. Zhu Mingjiang, showed the audience remarkable violin carving skill on site. Music Education Show Area Music China first set up music education show area, combining with open classes, this area attracted lots of audience who were interested in music education. The exhibitors of this area displayed their teaching modes and found new franchisers here. Master Classes and Free Trial Classes

Over 1500 visitors engaged in Music China education programs, in which famous music educators shared their teaching experience, and people got the chance to know modern teaching method. Kids Music Land Show set up Kids Music Land especially for youngsters. There were open activity areas for kids. Kids can get music knowledge and cultivate interest towards music at the same time through playing. Having fun while learning music is definitely a trend for music education. Smart Music World Smart Music World was a new show area in Hall E6, where you can find up-to-minute smart music technologies, including software and hardware. Through demonstration and interaction, the integration of music and technology was fully presented. Never-ending Music Live shows The three outdoor stages presented nearly hundreds of live shows. Many well-known musicians give amazing performance on stage, bringing the visitors classical, rock, jazz and other styles of music. Music Lights up the Stars In Oct.10 th, the organizer invited professional music therapy teacher to open experience courses for nearly a hundred autistic children. And a musical instrument donation ceremony was conducted. The organizer donated 200 sets percussion instruments to Angel Salon and other four schools for autistic children. Also, nearly 150 sets of instruments were raised on-site, which were donated to the Shanghai Charity Foundation.

三 Media & Promotion Music China 2014 was promoted over field and public media. Field media included 16 magazines and 20 websites. Public media covered 9 TV channels, 12 TV programs, 7 radio programs of 3 radio channels, more than 200 overseas websites from United States, European and other countries, and nearly 70 mainland China websites. :The list of public media 等 Music China 2014 was a really big success.
