PROVO RIVER RESTORATION PROJECT, UTAH (Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission) Project Coordinator and Restoration Design Team Leader The Provo project consisted of construction of 12 miles of new Provo River channel within a federally purchased corridor. The Bureau of Reclamation channelized the Provo River in the 1950s. REFUGE-WIDE WETLAND RESTORATION DESIGN PAHRANAGAT NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, NEVADA Restoration Design Team Leader Assessment and restoration designs to restore hydrological function, control invasive species, and increase natural riparian habitat for migrating birds and rare, native aquatic species. SPRING ENHANCEMENT AND NATIVE FISH REINTRODUCTION AT COTTONWOOD SPRING PAHRANAGAT NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, NEVADA Design and Construction Team Leader Design and construction aimed at enhancing aquatic habitat at Cottonwood Spring to help the recovery effort for the endangered Pahranagat roundtail chub. RESTORATION AND ENHANCEMENT PLAN FOR APCAR AND THE LOWER PEDERSON PARCELS - MOAPA VALLEY NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, NEVADA Design and Construction Team Leader A natural spring channel was restored, invasive palm trees were removed, and the bank was re-vegetated with native plant communities to create habitat for the endangered Moapa dace and rare Moapa White River springfish. MOAPA VALLEY NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, NEVADA Project Coordinator and Lead of Restoration Design Team Moapa is a refuge for the endangered Moapa Dace. OBEC led a design team to create a public facility where people can view fish, take a nature hike, and be educated about local ecology. ASH MEADOWS NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, NEVADA Design and Restoration Team Leader The project consisted of restoring an ecologically significant spring and out-flow channel in Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge.

WALKER RIVER ASSESSMENT, NEVADA AND CALIFORNIA Leader of Team of Scientists Ecological assessment of the Walker River system for the purpose of restoring ecological functions and values. WALKER RIVER RESTORATION PLAN, NEVADA Leader of Team of Scientists Formulated and presented a restoration plan for the Walker River. The plan works to restore ecological and recreation values. ROSASCHI RANCH RESTORATION - EAST WALKER RIVER, NEVADA (US Forest Service & US Fish and Wildlife Service) Coordinator and Team Leader Project consisted of restoring native riparian, transitional, and upland vegetation at the Rosaschi Ranch. ASSESSMENT OF COLD-WATER FISHING POTENTIAL AT THE WEST WALKER FLY FISHING RANCH WEST WALKER RIVER, NEVADA (Clear Creek Ranch) Coordinator and Team Leader This assessment included habitat enhancement recommendations and a conceptual trail design plan for development of a stretch of river for fly-fishing recreation. BIOPHYSICAL ASSESSMENT AND ECOLOGICAL RECOVERY PLAN STUART RANCH, MEADOW VALLEY WASH, NEVADA (Bureau of Land Management) Project Coordinator This restoration and management plan incorporated geomorphic (landform) restoration, re-vegetation, and recreational facility recommendations to recover disturbed lands, enhance wildlife habitat, and protect historic cultural resources. MCDERMITT CREEK FISH BARRIER MCDERMITT CREEK, NEVADA Project Coordinator and Construction Oversight A permanent fish barrier was designed and constructed to protect a native strain of the threatened Lahontan cutthroat trout. RESTORATION AND RECREATION PLAN FOR RIVER FORK RANCH - CARSON RIVER, NEVADA (The Nature Conservancy) Coordinator and Leader of the Design Team Project consisted of design of wetlands and other habitat features, natural river channel design, development of recreation facilities such nature trails, bird viewing tower, and kiosks.

ASSESSMENT AND RESTORATION PLANS FOR THE HISTORIC HINES SPRING OWENS VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (Los Angeles Department of Water and Power) Coordinator and Leader of the Hines Spring Design Team Project consisted of designing alternatives for re-creation of ecological functions at the historic Hines Spring site, including developing a water source for the simulated spring. RESTORATION PLAN FOR YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO RECOVERY ALONG BAKER AND HOGBACK CREEKS OWENS VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (Los Angeles Department of Water and Power) Coordinator and Leader of the Design Team OBEC created a plan to enhance the existing riparian forest along Baker and Hogback Creeks where yellow-billed cuckoos were once known to nest. RESTORATION PLAN FOR HABITAT MITIGATION - OWENS VALLEY, CALIFORNIA (Los Angeles Department of Water and Power) Coordinator and Leader of the Design Team Assessment and design for riparian and wetland type habitats to mitigate for drying springs in Owens Valley. The project consisted of assessment and design for many sites. ASSESSMENT AND PRELIMINARY RESTORATION PLAN - MUD MEADOWS CONSERVATION AREA, NEVADA (Bureau of Land Management) Coordinator of the Assessment and Restoration Plan An assessment and restoration alternatives were developed for the Mud Meadow area, which harbors endangered fish, rare plants, and endemic invertebrates. The area was previously modified by agriculture. DESIGN OF FISH FRIENDLY WATER DIVERSIONS ON THE TRUCKEE RIVER, NEVADA (Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe) Lead of Design Team and Construction Oversight Re-designed and re-constructed three water diversions on the Truckee River to allow for native fish passage. RESTORATION OF INDIAN SPRINGS IN PRESTON, NEVADA Design and Construction Oversight Restored a spring complex and outflow channel that is home to some of Nevada s endemic fish.

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF FISH BARRIERS TO PROTECT NATIVE FISH POPULATIONS IN NEVADA (US Forest Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, & Nevada Department of Wildlife) Design and Construction Oversight The project consisted of designing and constructing gabion fish barriers to prevent non-native fish from migrating and hybridizing with the native Lahontan cutthroat trout. REESE RIVER, NEVADA (US Forest Service) Designer and Construction Manager Project included developing and implementing a design for spotted frog habitat within the Toiyabe National Forest. EAST FORK OF THE WALKER RIVER, NEVADA Designer and Construction Manager Project includes the assessment of restoration potential for riparian habitat adjacent to the East Fork of the Walker River and the design and construction of restored riparian habitat within USFWS property. CARSON RIVER, NEVADA (Bureau of Land Management) Geomorphic and Ecologic Assessment for Enhancement/Restoration of the Carson River An assessment and recommendations of the Middle Carson River were completed for the purpose of recovering and sustaining the riverine ecosystem. MUDDY RIVER, NEVADA (Clark County) Geomorphic and Ecologic Assessment for Enhancement/Restoration of the Muddy River Project consisted of assessing the geomorphic processes, riparian forest, and hydrology of the Muddy River, with a focus toward restoration and ecological enhancement. EAST FORK OF THE SEVIER RIVER, UTAH Designer and Construction Manager Project consisted of relocating 2,500 feet of channel as part of a highway construction project. STEAMBOAT CREEK RESTORATION PLAN Consultant The project involved determination of the required corridor width for the Steamboat Creek Restoration Corridor. PARKER RANCH, NEVADA (The Nature Conservancy of Nevada) The project involved development of a restoration plan for spring pools and channels that harbor the endangered Amargosa toad.

TORRANCE RANCH, NEVADA (The Nature Conservancy of Nevada) The project involved development of a restoration plan for spring pools and channels that harbor the endangered Amargosa toad and the rare Oasis Valley speckled dace. FLAGG SPRINGS, NEVADA The project involved development of a restoration plan for spring pools and outflow channels to provide habitat for native fishes. DESERT NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE (CORN CREEK), NEVADA of Spring Pools and Outflow Channels The project involved restoration of the spring pools, outflow channels and native vegetation that were once buried, ditched and removed. Also, designed and constructed a refugium for the native Pahrump poolfish. TRUCKEE RIVER, NEVADA - LOCKWOOD PROPERTY (Washoe County, Nevada) The project involved development of a restoration plan for approximately one mile of the mainstem Truckee River corridor that includes aquatic and terrestrial habitat components and a recreational trail plan. TRUCKEE RIVER, NEVADA - McCARRAN PROPERTY (The Nature Conservancy of Nevada) The project involved development of a restoration plan for approximately 5 miles of the mainstem Truckee River corridor that includes both aquatic and terrestrial habitat components. MOAPA VALLEY NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, NEVADA The project involved development of a restoration plan for a series of geothermal springs and outflow channels and the surrounding riparian areas. The project will provide habitat for native fishes and other organisms that use the system. TRUCKEE RIVER FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT, NEVADA (Washoe County, Nevada) Concept Design Assistance Otis Bay provided expertise on riverine process and function for incorporation into designs for a flood control project through the Truckee Meadows area.

JORDAN RIVER, UTAH (Private Entity) Designer The project involved design of a natural streambank stabilization plan for the Jordan River in Utah, to enhance the riparian area near the channel and to protect a medical research facility. STUDIES CARSON RIVER, NEVADA (Bureau of Land Management) Geomorphic and Ecologic Assessment for Enhancement\Restoration of the Carson River DIAMOND FORK CREEK, UTAH Instream Flow Study Assessment and recommendations of the Middle Carson River for the purpose of recovering and sustaining the riverine ecosystem. Project involved assessment of environmental instream flows to support a broad array of native organisms. TRUCKEE RIVER, NEVADA Instream Flow Assessment The project involved assessment of instream flow requirements to restore and maintain a healthy ecosystem throughout the Truckee River corridor. TRUCKEE RIVER, NEVADA (City of Reno, Nevada) Storm Drain Assessment The project involved assessment of the impact of combining several small storm drains into a single large drain that empties into the Truckee River in Reno, Nevada.
