Getting Started Log-in to Existing Account or Establish a New Account If you already have an existing online Nationwide account, you can access it from www.nationwide.com/login. Simply enter your username and password, click Log in. Once you click Sign up, the page below appears. Click on Sign Up under the Investments category. PNT-0406AO.6 FOR PARTICIPANT USE ONLY 2015 4
Getting Started, cont d Establishing a New Account, cont d Once you click on Sign Up, there are four (4) steps to enter your personal and account information. Information with an asterisk (*) is required, then click on the Continue button at the bottom of the page. Be sure to complete all steps of the sign up process for complete online access. Customer Account Management Page Account Summary tab Upon log-in, you will arrive at the Account Summary page. This page will display any and all, of the accounts that you have with Nationwide (insurance, investment, and retirement plans). Insurance policies are located at the top. Customer Account Management Page, cont d Contact Us bar On the right side of the Account Summary page, you ll see the Contact Us bar. This bar contains very important information. Other important Nationwide contact numbers and hours of operation are listed for your convenience. If there is more than one product sold by a NW agent, then a link will be available for View my contacts. A drawer will open to display the specific details of the agent s contact information. To close the drawer, simply click on the Hide my contacts link. There are participants with multiple retirement plans. If you only have one retirement plan, then you will not have a drawer. Customer Account Management Page, cont d My Profile tab Next is the My Profile page. On this page, you ll notice three more tabs. The first is My Information. This section allows you to edit your email address. PNT-0406AO.6 FOR PARTICIPANT USE ONLY 2015 8
Customer Account Management Page, cont d My Profile tab, cont d The next tab on the My Profile page, is for Preferences. This allows you to select edelivery options. The top section, Email Preferences, asks if you d like to receive reminders when your bill is ready to be viewed and paid. This question is for PCIO customers only and is not applicable for Retirement Plan accounts. It also asks if you d like to receive additional materials from Nationwide. The bottom section, Go Green Go Paperless, will allow you the ability to select how you would like to receive your account notifications, either by email or US mail. To change your preferences, simply click on the Edit button. An overlay screen will display with the questions. Click on the radio button for yes or no. The next screen will ask for a confirmation, if finished, click Submit. Paperless option only available for certain plans. PNT-0406AO.6 FOR PARTICIPANT USE ONLY 2015 9
Customer Account Management Page, cont d My Profile tab, cont d The last tab on the My Profile page, is for security and passwords. This allows you to set your security questions and reset your password. The top section, Username and Password, will display what you entered when you registered for your online account. You may change both by clicking on the Edit button. The bottom section, Security Questions, also display what was selected when you registered for your online account. You may also change these by clicking on the Edit button. An overlay screen will show you the question options that you can select from. Choose one and type your answer. Remember that all 3 security questions must be answered. Manage Account Page Manage Account page Once you have clicked on the Manage Account button from the Account Summary page, you will go to the Internet Service Center to actually manage your account. The default screen is the Manage Account page. This page will display your account details in the middle section, as well as provide functionality links at the bottom. Manage Account Page, cont d Balance Details tab The Balance Detail tab, which is the default, displays your account balance with an as of date. Rate of Return tab The second tab is for Rate of Return. You can select a market index from the drop down box that will compare your personal return to the index that you ve selected. If your retirement account has been at Nationwide prior to January 1st of this year, you can select a market index from the drop down box. View Account Functionality Overview The View Account section is located at the bottom of the page. It contains the following links. Click each one to view the functionality available. My Funds tab The My Funds tab will display the funds that you have selected in a pie chart illustration. Holding your cursor over each piece of pie will display the percentage of assets that you have in that fund. View Account Functionality, cont d Transaction History The Transaction History page allows you view all transactions that occur within your account. In the appropriate boxes, enter a timeframe and then click the Apply button. The picture below is a snapshot of a transaction history. View Account Functionality, cont d Future Allocation The Future Allocation page shows you in which funds you have selected future contributions to be invested. If you would like to change your allocations, go back to the Manage Account page and click on the Change Funds on My Own link at the bottom of the page. View Account Functionality, cont d Statements On the Statements page, you will see the past 5 quarterly statements posted. Simply click on the statement that you would like to view. The statement opens using Adobe Acrobat. If you need to download that application, there is a link to do so. To navigate from this page, use the breadcrumbs on the top, or the left side bar. View Account Functionality, cont d Fee Disclosure On the Fee Disclosure page you will find links to Plan and Fee Disclosures, Comparative Chart of Investment Options and a Glossary of Investment Terms. Federal law requires that certain plan and investment information be provided to participants, beneficiaries and those eligible to participate in the retirement plan. View Account Functionality, cont d Change Address On the Change Address page, you have the ability to edit your mailing address. Doing so in this website will update the Administrators records, but not your employer s. Please make sure to contact your employer to update their records. If you would like to receive electronic confirmation that your address change has been made, you will need to enter your email address on the My Profile tab, then My Information, as highlighted in the red box. If a news article has been posted after your last log-in, it will be the first page displayed before the Manage Account page. Click on the Continue button to navigate past the news. Explore Funds Functionality Overview The Explore Funds section may contain the following links. Click each one to view the functionality available. Please note: not all plans include the Fund Window feature which uses the Fund Evaluator tool. This link may not display on your account. Fund Performance The Fund Performance link will display all of the funds available in your plan. You may display the results by month end or quarter end. You may group by Ibbottson asset class, Morningstar category, or your funds. Simply make your selections and click on the update button. You will also notice 3 additional tabs that will offer more details about each fund: performance, additional details, MorningStar rating. These tabs will display regardless of the group category. Explore Funds Functionality, cont d Fund Performance, cont d Since this page is so large, you may have noticed that there is not a left side navigation bar. Therefore, to go back to the Manage Account page, use the breadcrumbs at the top. If your plan allows for the Fund Window feature, then you will notice a section at the bottom of this page to add or remove funds from your favorite list. Explore Funds Functionality, cont d Fund Evaluator The Fund Evaluator link will only display if your plan permits for the Fund Window feature. The fund evaluator is a tool that helps you evaluate and select funds. The first page will explain the feature and ask for your acknowledgement that you have read and understand the risk involved. Explore Funds Functionality, cont d Unit Values The Unit Value page displays the values posted as of the date listed at the top. At the bottom of this page, you can search for alternate dates. Enter the preferred date and click submit. The left side navigation bar has returned on this screen or you can still use the breadcrumbs at the top of the page to go to back to the Manage Account page. Make your selection and click on the Continue button at the bottom of the page. The pages that follow will walk you through completing your transactions. If you decide not to change funds, use the breadcrumbs at the top or the left side bar to navigate. Enter the new amount you would like to contribute and click on the Submit button. Depending on your employer's contribution schedule online deferral changes may not take effect immediately.
