How to monetize your Triton Player This training document explains how to manage the ad units in your Triton Digital Player, in order to monetize your stream. How to configure your ad unit sponsor The Ad Unit Sponsor is a mobile format banner (300x50) that you can optionally display in your player. It is sized to perfectly fit in a mobile device. To upload your Ad Unit Sponsor banner, click + Monetization then + Banner Configuration and finally + Ad Unit Sponsor. Now upload your image. Open the drop-down menu next to Active and select Yes. Click + Mobile X Large to expand that section. Now upload your image by clicking the Browse button. The image must be 300x50 pixels. We recommend a maximum size of 500kb. You have the option to enter the URL of a site you would like your banner to redirect to. Finally, click Save Config at the bottom of the page, then refresh your player to see the changes. You are now ready to display your Ad Unit Sponsor in your player.
How to configure your ad unit leaderboard banner The Ad Unit Leaderboard is a 728x90 pixel image that you can optionally display in your player. (It will not display if the player is too small.) To set up your Ad Unit Leaderboard banner, click + Monetization then + Banner Configuration and finally + Ad Unit Leaderboard. Now configure the banner. Open the Active drop-down menu and select Yes. Open the Type drop-down menu and select the ad server you want to use for your Leaderboard. Expand the ad server s name by clicking the + button, and enter all the required information. If you need help, refer to the Tooltips by rolling your mouse over the? icon. If you have any questions, contact your project manager for assistance. Click + Banner Refresh Settings and select YES or NO. YES enables automatic refresh of your ads. NO means your ads refresh when the stream starts and whenever the page changes. If you select YES, you can specify a refresh rate of every X songs or every X minutes. To specify the refresh rate, open the Refresh Frequency Type drop-down menu and enter a number in the field next to Refresh Frequency Value. Finally, click Save Config at the bottom of the page, then refresh your player to see the changes. You are now ready to display your Ad Unit Leaderboard in your player.
How to configure your ad unit 1 banner This section is only visible to clients who use our Music Discovery service. If you do not see it, is means you did not sign up for the service in your contract. The Ad Unit 1 is a 300x250 pixel Big Box image. You can also display a 320x50 image when the player s size is small or when it is opened in a mobile device. To set up your Ad Unit 1 banner, click + Monetization then + Banner Configuration and finally + Ad Unit 1. Now set up your Big Box (300x250) banner. Open the Active drop down menu and select Yes. Click + Big Box and open the Type drop down menu and select the ad server you want to use for your Big Box. Expand the ad server s name you selected in the previous step by clicking its + button and enter all the required information. How to configure your preroll triton vastad The Preroll Triton VastAd is an ad (audio or video) that plays when the stream starts. To set up your Preroll Triton VastAd, click + Monetization then + Preroll Configuration, then + Preroll Triton VastAd. Open the Keep Synced Banners drop down menu and select Yes if you want the associated banners to remain after the end of the preroll. Then set the priority of the Preroll Triton VastAd. 1 means the selected server is the first one the player calls to see if a preroll is available to play. 6 is the last one to be called. How to configure your preroll direct upload The Preroll Direct Upload is an ad (audio or video) that plays when the stream starts. To set up your Preroll Direct Upload, click + Monetization then + Preroll Configuration, then + Preroll Direct Upload. Open the Keep Synced Banners drop down menu and select Yes if you want the associated banners to remain after the end of the preroll. Then set the priority of the Preroll Direct Upload. 1 means the selected server is the first one the player calls to see if a preroll is available to play. 6 is the last one to be called. Next, upload your preroll by clicking the browse button and selecting an audio or video file on your computer to upload. If you upload a video file, you can also enter a URL to associate with the video. For audio or video files, you have the option of adding Big Box and Leaderboard banners by clicking the browse button and uploading them, and you can add outgoing URLs to those banners. How to configure your adbreak An AdBreak is an in-stream audio ad. You can associate Big Box or Leaderboard banners with the AdBreak if this has been set up in the Cue Point. To set up your AdBreak, click + Monetization then +AdBreak. First, open the Active drop down menu and select Yes if you want the associated banners to display during the in-stream audio ad. Then open the Keep Visible After Complete drop down menu and select Yes if you want the associated banners to remain after the end of the in-stream audio ad. If you have any questions, contact your Triton project manager. Finally, click Save Config at the bottom of the page, then refresh your player to see the changes. You are now ready to display your AdBreak in your player.
