Instruction for municipalities The website of WE CAN Young is made in the content management system (CMS) Drupal. Subscribe as changemaker on. Movisie can make you administrator. Log in to the site with your username and password. You can reach your own page via the menu button 'Municipalities' (Gemeenten) or go to /bes. Or go to "My Profile", you will see the town in which you are administrator on the right. What is the purpose? Consider the website as a "home base", this shows you what your WE CAN Young municipality does. Do you have actions in the planning? Place them in activities. Make images and videos as much as possible during your activities, place the finest materials in the gallery. Make short reports of your actions and place it as news. Link from there to your images or videos. Other news you can place is for example when a celebrity within your municipality becomes changemaker, when an action was published in the newspaper, if your municipality has recruited a large number of changemakers, you name it! You can all do this by yourself. How to do it, read this instruction. As "municipality" you can add activities, photos, videos and news sites. You can also change the text in the blocks on the front page of your municipality. Blocks at home - Click 'Edit' (bewerken), you will see the text fields of the three blocks below the other. If you want you can give each block a header, like 'Do it!', 'Sign also on' or 'What is this? To make the headlines you can change them in Format (in the editor). Heading 1 or 2. The left and right block are fixed in size, so look or your text fits in the block. The upper block has not a fixed size, but keep it as short as possible. Click Save (Opslaan)

- The article below will show up automatically when you create a new news. You can easely add content with the block Gemeentebeheer (on the right) Add activity (agenda item) (Activiteit toevoegen) - Click Add Activity in the right block on the home, you get to the edit screen - Fill in the title bar. Make sure the title is not more than 35 characters. The title should be able to fit on one line - Add the date and time of the activity increases - Select Publiek - Upload a photo to the message (select browse and photos, and then upload). This should not be too large, a good size is for example 256 x 160 pixels. The photo au-

tomatically takes the appropriate dimensions (108 x 108 pixels in the overviews, 192 x 123 pixels in the case of a landscape photograph) and will be on the left of the message. If necessary, add a caption to the photo. - Type or paste the text message in de block Berichttekst. If you copy text from anything else, first copy paste in a notepad, to filter out weird punctuation. Make sure the lead is not too long, separated by a hard enter from the rest of the text. You do not have to stick to a fixed number of characters. At the front the text is automatically demolished. - Click Save (Opslaan) - You can edit an activity by clicking on the message and then "edit" (bewerken). - You can delete an activity by clicking on the message, 'Edit' (bewerken) option and then select the bottom of the page for 'delete' and again 'delete' (verwijderen). Add news story (Nieuwsbericht toevoegen) - Click Add News (Nieuwsbericht toevoegen) in the right block (Gemeentebeheer) on the home, you get to the edit screen. - Fill in the title bar. Make sure that the title does not exceed 35 characters. The title should be able to fit on one line. - Select Publiek - Upload a photo, add here applies the same as for activity. Provide a catchy text. Treat one topic per paragraph and make headings. - Type or paste the text message text in the plane. Again, add the same as Activity. - Click Save (Opslaan) - The latest message automatically displays the top of the news and on the home page of your municipality.

- You can edit a news item by clicking on the message and then "edit" (Bewerken). - You can remove an article by clicking on the message, 'Edit' (Bewerken) option and then select the bottom of the page for 'delete' and again 'delete' (Verwijderen). Add photos (Foto s toevoegen) - Click Add photos at the right block on the home, you get to the edit screen. - You can now create an album. Give the album a title - Select your municipality - Upload the photos one by one, it will then be in a slideshow. You can give each foto a title. The picture is automatically customed, but must be large enough. At least, 600 pixels wide. A standard size is 1024 by 768. - In the message text (Berichttekst), you can give a description of the album. - Click Save (Opslaan) - If you want to change an album, for example, you want to add or remove photos, click on 'Edit' (Bewerken) in the slideshow. Then you come back into the edit field. - To delete an entire album, click again on "edit" (Bewerken) in the slideshow and then the bottom of the page, click 'delete' and again 'delete' (Verwijderen). - You want to create a new album, simply click Add photos (Foto s toevoegen). Add videos (Video toevoegen) - We can upload videos for you on the WE CAN Young YouTube Channel - Click Add Video

- Give the video a name - Select Publiek - Paste the URL of YouTube in the line under "Video" - Under "Content" (Inhoud) you can give a subscription - Click Save (Opslaan) - The movie can be seen in the Gallery Would you like for example add a new news message about a new video? Then you can do two things. You can paste the url of the YouTube video in the editor of the news message in the line Video. The video will then be placed automatically in the newsitem.

Or you cab add a news message and link from there to the video. For example, enjoy this video of changemakers from municipality X!. If you click on a movie itself, it shows as a popup. But if you click on the title of a movie, the movie opens on a page, and you can copy the link to that page in the browser. This link then use it in your article. A picture is also required here. It seems a good solution to use for example the image below here. Then you see immediately on the news that it is a movie! You can also create an image of a 'still' of your movie, or maybe you have other creative ideas. The editor

In any edit field in the cms you can see an editor above the message text. Which means you can create bold or italic text. You can also find links (globe icon with screw) or add more images (painting). To add a link, click the globe icon and paste the URL you want to link to in the field. When it is a website other then WE CAN Young, you can choose New window (Nieuw venster) at Target (Doel) so that your visitors will not leave your site. If for example you want to link to a PDF, click again on the globe icon and then "Browse Server". You then enter the file server. Click Upload, then browse to upload your document. Then again upload and then add on file (Bestand toevoegen). Again you can choose to open the document in a new window. If you want to add a picture in the message itself, click on the painting. Then follow the same action as for example adding a pdf. You can also change the size of the picture here. The maximum wide should be 550 pixels. TIP: Start the title of your documents and images with BES so you are able to find them easily in the server. If you want the picture to refer to a webpage, you can add the URL under the tab "Link".

An overview of all content created by you In every edit field you are in the CMS you always see in the left column Content list (Inhoud lijst). Here you will find all the items that you have created. Coalition Partners Are there organizations that actively participate in the campaign within your community? Ask them to sign up on www.wecan.nl. Please also subscribe your own organization. And please inform Danielle van Oostrum, she can add the organization to the coalition partner page of your municipality. Facebook and / or Twitter It s possible to run your facebook or/and twitterstream on de home of you municipality page. Please note: a facebook page must be a community or organization, if it is a personal page it can not get in the stream of your homepage. It has to be a page that people can like. Questions? Do you have questions about the website? Then you can contact Danielle van Oostrum, d.vanoostrum@movisie.nl, 030-7892282.
