A system of transport in continuous development: Infrastructure projects Tangier-Med port complex: Entry into service of the first container port with a capacity of 3 million TEUs in 2007 Entry into service of a roll-on, roll-off port with a capacity of 7 million passengers and 700,000 vehicles in 2010. launching the second container port: Works in the course of completion in the container Terminal 4 (2.2 M TEUs) : conceded to Marsa ( a Moroccon company ) as a result of the port reform Container Terminal 3 (3 M TEUs) : the implementation is based on the evolution of demand for port infrastructure

A system of transport in continuous development: Infrastructure projects To invest so as to accompany the liberalization of air transport and the consecration of Casablanca airport as an international hub : Refitting of terminal 1 at Casablanca airport for a total cost of 46 million. The completion of this project will tackle traffic evolution in this airport (5,860,000 in 2007 10.50 million in 2012 and 13.5 million in 2015). Extension of Marrakech airport by building a new terminal 3.This project, whose cost is 75 million, will facilitate traffic handling expected in this airport in 2015 estimated at 6 Million passengers, the double of the traffic in 2007. Constuction of the new terminal in Oujda Airport finished bringing its capacity to 3 million passengers per year. The budget allotted for this airport is about 68 M Developing the capacity of the airports of Rabat Salé, Essaouira, Fez (and others) to deal with a change in traffic estimated at 23 million passengers Extension of Rabat - Salé airport to increase its capacity from 0.3 to 1.5 million passengers, entry into service in early 2012 New terminal at the airport Fez- Sais to increase its capacity from 0.5 to 2.6 million passengers, entry into service expected at the end 2013 New terminal at Marrakech airport to increase its capacity from 4.2 to 8.5 million passengers, entry into service expected in June 2014

A system of transport in continuous development: Transport reforms Liberalizing the road freight transport: abolition of road freight approvals and charter monopoly practiced previously Port reform: separating administration functions and regulation from trade missions and introducing competition intra and inter ports. Reform of maritime transport: liberalizing maritime cargo liner transport and chartering activity Liberalizing air transport: open sky agreement, airlines promotion. Reforms impacts : Cost reduction (-30% for port crossing, average of -37% from airfares,,..) On the basis of logistics performance indicators (LPI), Morocco obtained in 2012 the 50 th world rank instead of the 94th rank in 2007 ( 44 places better in 5 years), according to the latest World Bank report entitled Connecting to Compete 2012: Trade Logistics in the Global Economy Improving service quality (improving air services, maritime connectivity in which Morocco is ranked 18th worldwide since 2010 vs. 77th in 2007,...) Entry on the market of new operators (trucking, airlines,...) with more professionalism

A proactive strategy 2012-2016 Major Development projects Completing 400 km of motorways and 600 km of expressways Defining the future development of motorways (2 nd frame of motorway scheme and mechanisms for implementation) Completing the second National Rural Roads Programme Defining and implementing a 3 rd National Programme of Rural Roads Conducting studies to implement big projects : Tichka tunnel (Marrakech-Ouarzazate), Oujda - Algerian border motorway.. Completing the high-speed train line between Tangier and Casablanca Conducting HSL studies to Marrakech Contributing to the development of regional transport (REN Casablanca) Pursuing works to increase the capacity of the railway line Casablanca - Kenitra, Marrakech, Settat, Sidi Kacem, Tangier... Electrifying railway lines between Fez-Oujda and Nador Taourirt Conducting studies for the extension of conventional lines (Beni Mellal, Tetouan,...)
