To start your account configuration and begin using Multi-Factor Authentication, log in to the CCHMC Multi-Factor Authentication User Portal at https://mfa.cchmc.org/multifactorauth. For assistance, please call the Service Desk at 513-636-4100. Important: You should only respond to the Multi-Factor Authentication text message if you are actually signing on. Otherwise, someone may be trying to sign on with your username and password and you should report this potential fraud to the Service Desk by calling 513-636-4100. Steps for using a text message to your cell phone Please have your cell phone with you for immediate access. On your computer, click on the link: https://mfa.cchmc.org/multifactorauth Enter Username and Password Click Log In (button) You will be brought to the Authentication User Setup screen. Keep method in the dropdown as Text Message Enter your cell phone number starting with a 1 and include area code. Example: 15135551212 Click Text Me Now to Authenticate (button) Important Note: Please have your cell phone immediately accessible. You will have a limited time to reply with the code being sent to your phone. Page 1 9/18/2015

Open text message Enter the numeric code in the message into the reply message section at the bottom on your screen and click send. Note: This example may not match what you see on your phone. Please answer the questions requested in this section to complete your MFA setup. This is only required once. Use dropdowns to change questions as desired. When you have answered all four questions, please click Continue. o Your answers are case sensitive. Suggestion: Please choose questions and answers that are immediately familiar to you. Why is this important? These questions will help verify your identity if there is an issue with your login. On your computer, the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client will now complete the login process. You are now successfully logged into VPN. You will repeat this process for all future logins to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client unless you choose a different option or factor for authentication. There are two additional options for Multi-factor Authentication that you can choose to use: An app for your Smart Phone (Android, Windows or iphone) Getting a phone call to the number you choose Steps for Setting up the App for Your SmartPhone On your computer, click on the link: https://mfa.cchmc.org/multifactorauth Enter Username and Password Click Log In (button) You will receive text message verification on your phone; please reply with code given. Click on Change Method Change to Mobile App Click Save Go to your itunes Store, Google Play or Microsoft Store Search for Azure Authenticator Click on app Click on Install OR Go back to your computer and go to mfa.cchmc.org and login with CCHMC user id and password. Click on Activate Mobile App Click on Generate Activation Code Enter the Authorization Code and URL in the app on your mobile phone Click on the option on your phone in the Azure app and scan the bar code on your computer screen Page 3 9/18/2015

Please check the Azure app on your phone An authentication code will display. This indicates that the Azure app has been successfully links to your phone and you are ready to use the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client to login. You can now close or navigate away from the app if needed. With the Azure app now being linked to your phone, please go back to your computer and launch the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client Please login with your CCHMC user name and password. You will receive a prompt on your phone to view the authentication code to complete your login. When you click on the prompt or go to the app, you will be prompted to verify the request from the Cisco VPN Client on your computer. To verify, click the verify button Page 4 9/18/2015

You can now close the Azure app on your phone. On your computer, the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client will now complete the login process and prompt you to access the informational messages. You are now successfully logged into VPN. You will repeat this process for all future logins to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client using the mobile app authentication option or factor. Page 5 9/18/2015

Steps for Using a Phone Call On your computer, go to: https://mfa.cchmc.org/multifactorauth Enter Username and Password Click Log In (button) You will receive text message verification on your phone. Please reply with code given. Click on Change Method Change to Phone Call Click Save Choose Change Your Phone o Your cell phone is currently entered o If you wish to use a different phone, enter the phone number of the phone at your location starting with a 1 and include area code. Example: 15135551212 o Click on Authenticate o Your phone should ring. o Answer phone o You will be asked to hit the # o You can now hang up On your computer, the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client will now complete the login process and prompt you to access the informational messages. You are now successfully logged into VPN. You will repeat this process for all future logins to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client using the Phone Call option or factor. Page 6 9/18/2015
