This qualification enables you to develop your skills of HR and L&D through undertaking more modules and through widening your breadth of HR and L&D knowledge further. There are two Advanced Level Diploma qualifications: CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management CIPD Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Development Students are able to gain credits for completed modules. A Diploma qualification is a total of 120 credits. A Diploma (120 credits) is a total of 1200 study hours of which 600 should be private study. On average it can take 12-18 months to complete. Chartered Member (Chartered MCIPD) - you are typically managing, developing and implementing HR policies that support organisational objectives. Chartered Fellow (Chartered FCIPD) - you are typically leading the development of strategic HR plans that drive sustained business performance. Chartered Fellows are expected to have a broad HR knowledge across most areas in addition to any specialisms. Completing the level 7 Advanced Diploma will enable you to apply for the Chartered Fellow membership status. Course Delivery Assessments For the core units, assessments differ from unit to unit. There are nationally assessed exams for two of the four core units; Leading, managing and developing people and HR Management in context. In addition, the core unit, Investigating a business issue from an HR perspective, comprises a management research report. For the optional units, assessments differ from unit to unit - they range from traditional written assignments, to more practical skills demonstrations, or delivered presentations. None of the optional units are assessed by examination. Induction All of the programmes begin with a face-to-face induction where you will: meet your facilitator and the rest of your study group discuss your timetable for the programme along with any assignments or exams you arer equired to complete discuss with your facilitator how to set clear study goals and how best to achieve them get advice on how to structure your own personal study time begin sharing ideas with others in your study group. Group workshops/dates You will attend a workshop, per module, and complete assessed work connected to each. The workshops are lively, interactive and practical with a strong focus on workplace application. For our open programme Lunch and refreshments are provided also. During your workshops your facilitator will guide you through practical exercises to develop your skills and help you to explore and discuss the theory behind principles and models. The assessment activities at this Advanced Level are designed to equip you with the ability to apply learning in practice within your own organisation and your work role.
