We must face up to the factthat our society is being hammered at present by a mean-spirited backlash. Race has once again become a political wedge issue. J J Cohen
We must continue, for as long as necessary, toreach out to those whose race and ethnicity, not their economicstatus alone, have subjected them to inferior academic preparations, but who, by dint of character, intelligence, and drive, are fully prepared to succeed as physicians and medical scientists.
