Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts RESEARCH EXPERIENCE 2008-present Researcher California State University, East Bay - Primary investigator of Social Support Networks and Bariatric Surgery Patients Weight Loss. - Designed research project examining the roles of informal and formal support in surgery patients post-operative weight loss and weight maintenance. - Conducted interviews and focus groups with 30 respondents in July Trained and mentored undergraduate research assistant. - Wrote and submitted preliminary research findings report to bariatric surgeon Dr. William Graber in August Presently conducting data analysis Researcher University of California, Santa Barbara - Primary investigator of Weight Loss Surgery Patients Self and Identity Conceptions. - Interviewed 44 pre-and post-operative weight loss surgery patients - Surveyed 55 pre-and post-operative weight loss surgery patients. - Analyzed medical information related to bariatric surgery. - Transcribed, analyzed data, and disseminated data.
