Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Production

Who We Are Canadore is the college of choice for connecting people, education and employment through leadership and innovation. The College provides access to over 65 full-time quality programs and has outstanding faculty and student services. Canadore and its students add nearly $290 million to the regions of Nipissing and Parry Sound. Approximately 1,000 students graduate from Canadore each year, and they join 41,000 alumni working across the globe. Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Production ICAMP opened its doors in September 2013. Recognizing the disruptive nature of technology in modern manufacturing, ICAMP provides the necessary resources for companies to research and create new products without heavy investment in the specific enabling technologies. This 8,500 sq. ft. industrial centre is focused on product innovation, allowing companies to access the technologies and resources for the development or refinement of new or existing products and processes. Combining cutting-edge manufacturing technologies with highly knowledgeable technical personnel and flexible service offerings, ICAMP at Canadore College is a critical resource for manufacturing businesses in nearly every industrial sector. How it Works ICAMP Concept Design Prototype Test Company ICAMP Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Production

Why ICAMP? Focused on Industry ICAMP was established to provide Canadian manufacturing companies with the resources required to compete on the global stage. ICAMP provides cost effective access to the latest in advanced manufacturing technologies and practices. ICAMP recognizes that different companies have different requirements. All of ICAMP s facilities and personnel are available and accessible by our clients at any step in their product development process. From equipment training to full research and development project execution, ICAMP provides technology and services for a wide range of needs. Value To Business - How ICAMP Can Help The rapid pace of technology development in manufacturing is highly disruptive. At ICAMP, technologies combine to create opportunities that were not available even a few years ago, including 3D scanning and printing, digital design and simulation, CNC machining, and robotics. ICAMP is designed to simplify the job of manufacturers when learning about and adopting these technologies, as well as providing technical services to allow companies to benefit from new technology without heavy investment. As a college facility centred on the needs of the manufacturing industry, ICAMP operates as an independent businessfacing unit within Canadore. ICAMP offers the following benefits to our clients and partners: Enables access to funding for R & D activities Enables experimentation and development of new/refined products and processes Provides a secure facility with comprehensive R & D capabilities committed to protecting our clients intellectual property Leverages existing college infrastructure (shops and labs) to provide businesses with the support required during the development, incubation, expansion or re-tooling phases canadorecollege.ca/icamp
