TM Fact Sheet ecommerce (webstore) Storefront for SupplyPoint Highlights Update automation and complete visibility Central point for pricing and discount configuration CRM integration Webstore tool integration Real-time data transfer and ordering Transaction integration potential SupplyPoint Field Security add-on provides an easy to configure, security mechanism catering for field level security control with no development required. UXC Eclipse s SupplyPoint ecommerce (webstore) Storefront add-on provides an easy to use, low maintenance internet front-end for Microsoft Dynamics NAV supporting web business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) trade. The standard, out-of-the box functionality handles seamless integration between Microsoft Dynamics NAV and the webstore.
All relevant changes in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system are automatically distributed to the webstore database and visible to the customer and contact without manual update. Full customer relationship management (CRM) integration through the use of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Relationship Management enables webstore access to selected customer representatives - to place orders and review customer activity without any assistance. New customers can come through to the webstore, make contact and place orders. For a very quick implementation, the webstore can be deployed out-of-the-box or it can be customised in appearance to suit specific corporate branding through the use of skins, which requires no Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience to develop. Features Cost effective, low maintenance and fully integrated ecommerce (webstore) Storefront Full control over customer and contact access through tight integration with the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Relationship Management module Complete Price and Discount structure reflected in the webstore ensuring the customer receives the correct pricing at the time of placing the order Integration with inventory allowing customer visibility of inventory levels Site content management performed entirely within the Microsoft Dynamics NAV environment, no HTML knowledge required Real-time ordering capacity with immediate feedback to the customer after placing orders Integrated with shipping and freight charges configured in Microsoft Dynamics NAV SupplyPoint including multiple shipto address functionality Tight integration with payment methods including processing of online credit card transactions. (*Requires integration with bank) How it Works The central point for the webshop is the contact and customer that controls the information a customer can see and the features they can use. What inventory can be sold to the customer: Each item held in inventory can be allocated by group to the customer. This allows nominated items to be excluded from sale to customers, or more importantly allow only specific items to be sold to limited customers. This functionality allows a national contract customer to utilise the webstore to place orders whilst ensuring that their branded inventory is not able to be seen or purchased by any other customers. What pricing and discount will be shown to the webstore customers: All pricing and discounts configured in Microsoft Dynamics NAV against the customer will automatically be reflected in the webstore. Whether they can order goods on account or require another payment method when submitting orders into the webstore. The site can be configured to allow shipping to only nominated ship-to addresses or allow the customer to configure more as they need them. These are reflected in Microsoft Dynamics NAV through the use of the Ship-to address system. 2
It is important to note that the customer card on its own does not have any control over whether the customer can utilise the webstore. All access to the site is controlled at the contact level to ensure customer management, identification of which customer contact places orders and to ensure appropriate security and restrictions for each contact. Each contact is allocated their own identifier and password and all access can be logged for security. In addition (to enhance security) each contact can be locked down to only viewing the account history for transactions they initiated. This allows a national customer to allocate at a branch level responsibility for ordering but ensure that only the head office accounts staff can view the entire transactional history for all sites. Inventory and upselling tools integrated into Microsoft Dynamics NAV functionality are extended to the webstore to allow the customer to upsell themselves or offer alternatives when an item is out of stock. Inventory availability is visible by the customer and inventory demand is updated once the order has been submitted to Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Inventory is segmented in the website through the use of the Item Category and Product Groups and additional enhancements can be added to the item card to allow for additional segmentation, if required. The ecommerce Storefront add-on functionality can be extended further to support item substitutions, related products, and customer purchase history in order to present the customer with further opportunities to add more to their shopping cart and increase the total of each sale. Site Functionality The Microsoft Dynamics NAV database is configured to transfer selected and limited data from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV database directly into the webstore database. This provides for almost real- time transfer of data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to the webstore. As the data arrives in the webstore database it is transformed to provide the correct data schema required to service a fully optioned webstore system. As customers place orders or make other changes that require Microsoft Dynamics NAV to be informed, functionality identifies those requests and submits them to Microsoft Dynamics NAV for processing. This design methodology provides for a complete and connected circuit from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to the webstore (and back) and ensures data integrity, security and prevents any unauthorised access to data and functions. The webstore is an adapted version of a widely available and very successful commercial ecommerce Storefront application that already services over 10,000 sites. UXC Eclipse s expansion and development to this widely used application is the secure integration to and from Microsoft Dynamics NAV. 3
The site is built on industry strength asp.net code and provides a complete content management system in addition to the full Microsoft Dynamics NAV integration. It is fully customisable and utilises the concept of skins to allow the site to be completely customised to the clients requirements. The graphic design and appearance of the website can be changed by any web developer - as no knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV is required. News and announcements can easily be added to the site without ever leaving Microsoft Dynamics NAV, providing a feature rich experience to the operators with no requirement to log into administration sites. The item card is enhanced to allow for the uploading of images to the site and the addition of comprehensive material related to each item. Images are automatically uploaded to the site and also resized on the fly by the system to provide the correct size images to suit the design of the site. Each segmentation group or individual item can be configured to appear differently to identify different segmentation groups. This provides the ability to display detailed information for some segments, whilst allowing a simplified list view for less elaborate areas of the site. 4
