Tchoukball Geneva Indoors 2015 19th Edition Indoor tchoukball tournaments December 9, 12-13, 16 and 18-20, 2015 Geneva (Switzerland) Bois des Frères sport centre Henry-Dunant sport centre Ecole de mécanique One of the bigest indoor tchoukball tournaments worldwide 1 event, 8 tournaments For over 18 years now, Geneva Tchoukball commits itself fully to offering the greatest possible number of players the opportunity to participate in our indoor tchoukball tournaments. Over 1000 tchoukball players participated in December 2014 in all the different competitions of the Tchoukball Geneva Indoor. From juniors to seniors, from beginners to the best players, each playing in the competition matching their level of play and their age, but all with the same will to fully engage in the game! As always, we try to cater in the best possible fashion to the wishes of the players coming from Switzerland, Europe our anywhere in the world. Therefore, we offer you this year 7 different tournaments destined for different participants and motivations. This choice should allow you to find the tournament of your liking: no matter whether you ve only just discovered tchoukball and would like to participate in your first discovery tournament, or whether you d like to line up against the best tchoukball players of Europe in what will surely be very intense games!! Come and see these games at the Centre sportif du Bois des Frères: Entertainments throughout the event! - A snack-bar with plenty of goodies - A Tchoukball Promotion stand providing you with all the necessary equipment for a decent match of tchoukball -And many more things to be discovered throughout the tournaments - In order to respond to various demands, we are currently working on different options, with the aim of offering two different menus at each meal: - A simple meal at the most economical price possible - A more complete and substantial meal 2 - Friday, 18th of December, ~18h-22h: the best of the qualification matchs - Saturday, 19th of December, starting from 17:30 until approx. 22:00: the semi-finals and final of the Nations Tournament - Sunday, 20th of December, during the afternoon: for the final rounds of the Elite Tournament Detailed timings will be available under www.geneva-indoors.com as soon as the match plans have been finalised. David Sandoz The Open, Elite, Women, Junior U10, U12, U15 tournaments General information: - Locker rooms will be open for all the players by 9:00 AM the latest and the courts by 9:30. The games will start at 10:00 and the end of the tournaments is foreseen between 16:30 and 17:30 (the U10 tournament may start later, around 11:00). - Each team will consist of 7 players on the field (5 players for the U10 tournament). The number of substitutes is up to each team. - For the Junior tournaments: a player can participate in a tournament of a higher age category, but not in principle of a lower one (for example, a U15 player can in principle participate in a U18/adult tournament but not in a U12 tournament). - For any question or information about this rule please get in touch with us. Attention: in order to ensure a smooth course of events, an information session will be held at 9:30 in the sport complexes, and this on each of the four tournament days. At least one person in charge of the team is required to participate to this meeting. In advance thank you for your punctuality. The Geneva Indoors on video: Experience the emotions of previous years Geneva Indoors thanks to the videos available on: http://www.youtube.com/tchoukballpromotion Specific information for each tournament: Geneva School Tournament - Information for this tournament have been detailed in a separate document, which can be found under www.geneva-indoors.com Junior U10 Tournament: - Organized for children born 2006 or later - We will play with size 00 or 0 balls from Tchoukball Promotion (Team Spirit, Tchouk Ultra or Tchouk Evolution) Junior U12 Tournament: - Organized for children born 2004 & 2005 - We will play with size 0 or 1 balls from Tchoukball Promotion (Team Spirit, Tchouk Ultra or Tchouk Evolution) Junior U15 Tournament: - Organized for children born in 2001, 2002, 2003 - We will play with size 2 balls from Tchoukball Promotion (Team Spirit, Tchouk Ultra or Tchouk Evolution) Adult & U18 Open Tournament: - Organized for U18 players and adults wishing to participate in a tournament of the level fun & relax - We will play with size 2 balls from Tchoukball Promotion (Team Spirit, Tchouk Ultra or Tchouk Evolution) Adult & U18 Women Tournament: - Organised for girls and women U18 and adultes, who would like to participate in a tournament only for girls - The women tournament is this year integrated in the Open tournament, but a separate additional ranking for the teams in this category will be done. - We will play with size 2 balls from Tchoukball Promotion (Team Spirit, Tchouk Ultra or Tchouk Evolution) Elite Tournament: - Organized for U18 players and adults wishing to participate in an elite level tournament. Do not hesitate to contact Lionel Cendre for any information concerning this subject. - Each player is allowed to play in only one single team during the entire duration of the elite tournament. - We will play with size 2 balls from Tchoukball Promotion (Team Spirit, Tchouk Ultra or Tchouk Evolution) 3
The Nations Cup Participation requirements: In principle, only national teams, that is, teams registered by a national tchoukball federation or an equivalent institution, can participate in this tournament. If no national team of a country participates in the tournament, the organisers can open the participation at the tournament to clubs of this country. Please get in touch with us in case of questions. Teams of the following categories can participate: U18, Women, Men, Mixed. Game plan: In order to ensure a maximum number of games for all participants, all teams play within the same tournament. The game plan is dependent on the number of registered teams. Composition of teams: Each team will consist of 7 players on the field; the number of substitutes is free. Nevertheless, for each individual game a maximum number of 12 players can be selected and registered on the official match sheet at the beginning of the game. Time and place: The place and time of the technical reunion will be published once the exact time of arrival of the teams in Geneva will be known. We can however confirm that the qualification games will start in the morning of Friday December 18th and the semi-finals and finals will take place in the afternoon and evening of Saturday December 19th. We recommend teams to arrive in Geneva latest in the evening of December 17th. 4

We encourage you to have enough staff looking after the teams. - The organisers will make balls available for the warm up of teams at all tournaments. - Insurances are the responsibility of each individual participant (except for the school tournament) - The participation at this tournament implies that the organisers and their sponsors are allowed to use all pictures or videos taken throughout this event. - As usual, each team will be in charge of refereeing some games of the tournament. Please note that for junior games, the refereeing has always to be supervised by adults. Some of the games of the junior tournaments U10, U12 and U15 will be refereed by «Geneva Junior Referees» and «Geneva Parents Referrees». The refereeing of these games will be organised by the organisation of the tournament. For the Geneva School Tournament only, the organisers will look after the refereeing. - Free wifi access for everyone in the Bois des Freres sport center. Location of the tournaments, match plans and switching sport centers Information for the Junior U10, U12, U15 tournaments: - All games will be played at the Bois des Frères sports center - Match plans will be sent a few days before the tournament to the people in charge of teams, as indicated on the registration form. Information for the Open, Senior, Women, Elite and Nations tournament: - Games will be played at the Bois des Frères sports center and/or the Ecole Mécanique sport hall. - Further information will be distributed once available. Location and time will be indicated on match plans for each of these tournaments. Match plans will be done in order to avoid as far as possible that teams have to switch between sport centres. - If switching can not be avoided, we ll plan enough time to make sure that a team can go to the other facility by their own means. This travel is the responsibility of each team and we strongly recommend bring outdoor shoes as well as warm clothes in order to avoid catching a cold. Take the exit Vernier Meyrin, continue in direction Vernier, followed by direction Genève centre. Take the first turn to the left and then continue straight ahead for another 200 meters until you arrive at the parking (on your right). Attention: Parking is available right next to the Bois des Frères sports centre, but it is limited to 4 hours. Use your blue disk. Our amazing staff! Our mission: «Contribute to the international development of Tchoukball by organising the most intense and passionate regular event that our sport can offer». Accommodation Each team is free to choose its own accommodation. On the website www.geneve-tourisme.ch you ll find a large choice of hotels for every budget. There are some low cost hotels in France, about 15 minutes by car from the sport centre. Please get in touch with us for further information. If you wish, you can also contact the Geneva Youth Hostel, which offers simple but good quality accommodation for a reasonable price: www.yh-geneva.ch. Transportation between your accommodation and the sport centres are taken care of by each team. Please note that in Geneva each guest of hotels and the youth hotel can request transportation vouchers in order to use the Geneva public transports without restrictions for free. We also have the pleasure to be able to offer you an accommodation which is about 300m from the Bois des Frères sports center. We have indeed the possibility to use the premises of the civil protection which include dormitories located in the basement (below street level).
