DUTY STATEMENT POSITION TITLE: Function: Responsible to: Duties: Scout Assessor To assist with the design and assessment of designated approved National Training Packages using materials developed by Scouts Australia. Deputy Chief Commissioner Adult Training and Development Assessors will be appointed for a maximum period of three years (renewable) by the Chief Commissioner of Australia and the National Commissioner for Adult Training and Development after recommendation by the Branch Chief Commissioner and the Deputy Chief Commissioner Adult Training and Development. Assessors will be presented with an Honourable Charge for the duration of the appointment, signed by the Chief Commissioner of Australia and the National Commissioner for Adult Training & Development. Criteria for selection of an Assessor must include: completion of year 12 level of education or equivalent OR completion of an acceptable Certificate Level course or equivalent at an approved institution a Wood Badge, in a relevant area completion of an approved Assessors Course or TAE 40110 Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training. a minimum of three years Scouting experience qualifications in, or sound knowledge of, the skills/topics to be assessed. ability to carry out an impartial assessment of peers a close relationship between both the training function and the assessing function basic level training experience Duty statement accepted / / Signature of Scout Assessor Print Name (Date) / / Supported by District Commissioner or Print Name (Date) Region Commissioner
